Speedline 2013c GLM Motorsport

@86B I also saw that today.
Before, they had on their site, that their modified wheels were ET22. Now, they're ET32. I have been following this thread for a long while, as I am thinking of fitting similar on my Ver2 STI. Still uncertain.
I run Speedline ST2. 17" BY 7", ET48. I run a 1" Spacer (25MM) all round, to get some bit of poke/flush fitment - which makes my offset ET23 currently (I think) - however, I have 0.7MM poke (they stick out of the front fenders, by 0.7MM. Rear is flush)
I measured today, and by using a wheel calculator, I expect a 14MM poke on GLM's ET22 wheel. Total poke is about 22MM.On their ET32, it would come to only 4MM poke on top of my current wheels which poke 0.7MM.
I do not know if my maths is correct. Enough maths.
I measured today on my rally car, and on OEM camber, this the poke. I do not know how much camber would be needed to compensate for this poke? Hard to say! Again, many guys have fit them successfully. on narrow body.

Joe is sometimes blunt, but he is professionally involved with Subarus, and very knowledgeable. Certainly no fraud.
You probably don't drive to the level he does, and he's basing his concerns on that. As it is a safety concern, it's surely worth part of the discusion ? People may reference this thread in the future and make decisions on it whichever way, so the more pros and cons the better.

Thanks for the support as such Caleb I'm not really blunt but can be when required. It's just I detest typing with a vengeance. I also hate people trying to pull the wool over other peoples eyes. I wouldn't worry about this thread any longer Sir cause the said website has completely changed this last couple of days and the wording and ET's have all changed. I'm not quite sure in this day and age who would start pulling arches and changing to coilovers to ultimately wreck a good car to MAKE a set of rims fit to look like a boy racer. WRC cars and wide arch cars also have very different arch designs as you will know. The pictures of my car which were only for reference and as you can see it is wide arch. The wheel I fitted was one a set of the said wheels that a customer supplied himself to go on a narrow body car which just wasn't going to work so I tried one wheel on the front of my car and you can see the results. The reason there is no info for the OP yet is only one wheel was removed from the boxes (The rest are still boxed) and it is away being assessed at the the moment. The fact the website has completely changed with different info says it all. Like they say you can't fix stupid.

you have been asked to stop spreading false information and not to comment, since I started this thread you should respect that.
the GLM website has not changed at all. They still offer all the same ET’s as before. You can get 11.6 all the way through to 32 if you want. ET 22 was a launsport wheel and now GLM do a ET 32
I can’t understand why you Insist on saying they Dont fit. There are hundreds of people all over the world using them as a GpA replica . No one is pulling arches and coil overs can improve a classic Impreza even for the road.
if the rest of your customers GLM wheels are in the box why Dont you tell everyone what number they are ???? And no we haven’t seen a picture of one of these wheels on your wide arch car because they don’t fit a wide arch car! You offer no evidence.
the GLM wheel sits almost exactly the same within the body as McRaes GrpA tarmac car, the arch modification to the GpA car were minor and allowed it to be set very low, the GLM wheel can’t be run quite that low but low enough for road and to look great, that’s the whole point.. if you want to create the GpA look and run this wheel you can .
They didn’t ruin mcRaes car did they. I doubt Prodrive would have run this dimension wheel if it did and still win world championships😂 On 18’s the car drives different compared to 16’s. There are minor pros and cons of Boths, but to say the GLM dimension wheel doesn’t fit and ruins the car is just mindless stupidity and spreading false information.
You do realise the wheels are already regulatory approved. ?
the GLM wheel is there to give people a choice that never existed properly before. They’ve done a great job and should be commended for the effort, not slandered by mindless forum warriors such as your self.
get off the thread .
has anyone else got anything constructive to ask or bring to the thread .

I have these wheels, I use them, i stage them and have friends who do the same. I’m responding with the truth so people can make correct informed decisions in the future.

this is not a GLM wheel .
they don’t stick out past the wing of a narrow body so why are you showing a wheel sticking out past the wing of a wide arch and claiming it to be a GLM wheel .
like I said you’re a total fraud and spreading false info.

You need to re read the whole thread cause you contradict yourself every time you post. That is a GLM Wheel. The one that is away for inspection, the other three are still boxed.

you’ve exposed your self now
the below images are GLM wheels on NARROW body not wide arch
images screen shot from GLM Instagram

You Sir are full of it here are the unopened boxes and one wheel opened sitting on a sofa. Look very very like GLM wheels to me what does everyone else think

GLM wheels have GLM on the box with the wheel number and also the centre bore is different. It’s machined with a nylon centre spigot . What you are showing is non of those.
Those picture are of a Speedline ET11.6 centre bore 54.8 by the looks of it.
Interested to see how you are going to argue out of this one ??

Just to finish you off, this is a GLM wheel. And yes! Thicker than ET 48
so now we all know to take no notice of anything you’ve written on this thread.
I bid you fair well

strange how you will keep insisting they don’t fit 😂😂

I guess to put a pin in this....
The wheels fit (as per your pics) but unless you have rock solid suspension and billard smooth roads you will encounter scrubbage on UK/Irish roads unless you modify the arches (by however much is required by owners driving style) so they're not a straight fit as such unless you want to park it and look at it.
For example speed humps which are through the UK towns and cities will cause rear scrub that id guarantee
I'll leave this example here of just how much suspension travel can occur if car is used (this is not my car)
As an aside, i once trial fitted genuine 22b rims onto my classic which are 17x8 and even they looked just wrong width/offset...which I'll dig out the pics for just for amusement though they dont give much use ill let you see them compared to the 17 raceline rl7s I eventually settled on the car
A UK road car setup I'm sure youll agree is hugely different for a US road car setup just due to our roads which is what this whole argument is basically about on here

Its brilliant for UK roads if you follow GLM recommended fast road suspension set up.
to give you an example, on my road cars I run coil overs on the softest setting with a 5/4 spring rate which is a great road use compromise and get no scrubbage. Sure, you will get scrubbage if you set it up wrong.
The wheel is definitely not for people with a low budget as the wheels are not cheap, you need coil overs and some knowledge of how to set the car up properly. No names but I think there are a few people on here that would struggle with that

I keep seeing either a static car or a rally car on a stage, in my mind you can see if you look at your pic compared with the pic I posted how it would look like that GLM wheel would not tuck without scrubbing when under heavy load on tarmac road/track
the video posted previously of the fella in US looks well but different roads over there compared to here.
is the pic of that rally car your car? Or do you have a pic of your road car all fitted and setup?

yes mate , not sure what else to tell you. If set up properly there no issues on the road .

At the end of the day you are trying to fit a square peg in a round hole with maximum modifications and expense for no gain whatsoever.
