Nearest track to me is 100+ miles away, so it just wasn’t for me.

One time the Mrs was driving it and I was behind her in another car. I just think it’s too subtle a thing to look at on the road and doesn’t look ‘special’ enough. Should have kept the Spec C RA that I sold to Edd!

Despite the great marketing, TGT are still just car salesmen. It did sell quickly, but it’s in their interest to big up the market and ‘exaggerate’

Unfortunately, that's the case with most modern cars and I feel the same.
I used to have a Panda 100HP which was a great daily driver! It's all about usable power and you didn't have to worry about your license.

Thats why I cant see me ever being without an MX5 now, bearing in mind I bought a cheap one to run around in whilst the scoob was having an engine rebuild!

It's certainly an event to drive the RA. Far more of a work out than the 9GT. Hard to say which I prefer but when it's just to blow out some cobwebs it's always the RA.

Yeah 100%.

I’d like a 981 Boxster eventually, but I’m actually thinking the 2.7 instead of the S. By many accounts, the S is too competent and fast to be fun.

I’d be very surprised if you ever sell that with the work that’s gone in

Good point actually. I’m not sure it would have sold quite so quick at that price if it hadn’t been.

This is very true, I find the same with my spec C. Like you, I'm a long way from any tracks.

I know how much effort Rob has spent on that car. No expense spared comes to mind.

thanks for the responses guys - had a good chat with Rob today... sounds like a huge amount of work has gone into the car and the pics he sent across certainly back up what everyone on here is saying.

STi 330s..... prices are going up, I'm at offers over £32K now.

It's not forged, so not been messed about with, but so many do it on tight budgets when forging, do half the jobb.. then sell it then the new owner still has problems.

whether 2.0 or 2.5 you'll always find someone whos had a problem engine.. that's what the internet's for..

I am officially part of the Scooby club! ... thanks for everyones help, especially @Hughy who has been beyond helpful and given me bags of advice on these... drove it back from Scotland on Saturday and absolutely love it.... had it on a few country lanes yesterday and must admit i gave up before the car!.... mint 20th anniversary that has been so well looked after, hardly been driven since it arrived in the country a few years ago... will load up some better pics over the next few days... this is the first one i got after its first drive...

First investment is a full check over, rollers and a map at FB Tuning...

Looking forward to being part of the club, and hopefully see you at some meets...
