As I understand it, as long as the colour can be seen through the tint, then I take it theres no reason why the whole light cluster (including the red section) can't be sprayed. Is this the case? Are there any legal eagles out there that can confirm this. I would like to tint every lens, bar the headlights.
Cheers,
Craig.

You need to be able to see a 'reflector' at the rear of the car....you can tint the whole lights but thought this would look a bit taccy i.e like the average escort rs turbo e.t.c... looks as though it was there in the first place this way...

Thanks all the same for calling me dumb.. 'DUDE' considering i have a degree in applied biology i dont consider my self dumb...
Just could not be bothered to take the lights out its far less hassle just masking the lights off...!!
If you dont have anything constructive to say then fu** off..!

Couldn't agree more... Surely masking off the rear clusters is loads less hassle than taking them out completely? Anyhow, you'd still need to do some masking off on the red bit!!

ricco,
Email them to me and i will do it if you have a prob...
Here is how i do it:
Take pic with digi cam and resize image to make it 100K or less... save it in 'my documents' on your comp...
then go to: http://bbs.turbosport.co.uk/upload.php
get your mouse and put the cursor in the box with browse next to it.... the press 'BROWSE' then just select the filename you saved it under and press open.... then press 'UPLOAD'.... you then copy the link it will bring up using the right hand mouse button and paste it into your post on scoobynet if that makes sense...
pleased your happy with the indicators...!!

Andy Tang had a go at this 'tinted rear clusters' in the same way (just doing the bottom half) but his didn't look as good as this
I'm wondering if it's because you've kept the reversing lights clear?

OK so this is now an old topic... I'm thinking of doing it myself but have one dillema. Looks excellent on your car because it's silver but I'm wondering whether I'd be better going for painting the orange bit red to make the whole cluster red, or the black like you've done.
My car is dark blue mica, so if anyone has done this on that colour of car could you post up some pics?
Cheers

Hi,
If you look at the start of my thread you will see that i tried to do the cluster all red, but after i sprayed only a light coat onto the lights the indicators would flash red and not orange... and i thought there would of been some legal implications...!!
When painting the lights black the orange of the indicator still comes through..
