I remember said car, the exhaust looked quite small, as in not anything like a SS, Magnex, HKS etc.

It sounded just like a gas turbine engine, and everyone I was near thought it was about to go bang.

Restrictive backbox? Dunno, maybe the owner did away with the engine and just a combustion chamber on the turbo....
