Them torches are the biz
My old man has got one & he likes to shine it accross the other side of the bay where they live & get reflections off the opposite houses - it's about a mile!
I seem to recall they're only about £15 too
Tom
No reason for SB or any other gov spook org not to wear black when they're observing someone/thing from the bushes in the middle of the night...

bearing in mind what a car theif has to lose (police, jail, etc) versus what you have to lose (insurance hassle) i would assume that the scum is going to be ready to fight an awful lot harder than you.
not a good battle to get in unless you have no choice or are prepared to give as good as he might give.
tiggs (hoping it never happens)

i have a 3 battery maglite, princess a 5 battery maglite.
i prefer the shorter one coz it feels more sturdy when i swing it. princess prefers the long black one
i have various weapons allegedly , and the maglite i bought today compares favourably with a telescopic cosh that i may or may not own
did u also know that the telescopic coshes available now include a steel spring type. they arent as lethal, but will nip a bit
i can strongly recommend telescopic coshes. they are small enough to fit in a jacket pocket, or anywhere in the car. they cost around £20, and its worth it for peace of mind.
oh, and before the doogooders have a go at me etc etc...i dont give a ****

I'm not sure I could come up with a decent excuse to keep my sword in the car . Some twocer comes out with a knife - 'well, young man, sit on this!!!' as I drag out my 3 1/2 foot sword *lol*. I'm not all that brave as it goes, but the theory is good

Microscan do a nice number in dual zone microwave detectors, voice units and pagers, with this lot fitted when the vermin get to close the voice unit tells em politely to **** off and at the same time your pager is triggered to let you know someone`s at it.
I know there`s better systems but hey this works and is cost effective. U can also switch off the voice unit so they get no warning your on your way out to see them off
BTW catapults are pretty good 4 frightning animals Hit first ask questions later
