CL 55 AMG

LOL, I saw an AMG Merc last night with a baby on board sticker and he had his bloody fog lights(front and rear) on. Even worse I'm sure the guy driving it looked like he owned a BMW. My mum says ignore them and they'll leave you alone
Anyway time for me pills, I'm on the same caffine medication as Astraboy's mate.
Now theres a thought, fire some Proplus in your tank.........I'm off to do a study on what BHP that gives you.
Cheers

Say what you will, I wouldn't swap the scoob for 2 AMG's I am not rich but sort of sensible with money . I do no waste it, I have had to work for my scoob, not have it paid for by some **** bandit firm or have a Rio Ferdindand type wage slip
It is just this, Generally we Subaru owners have he brains to buy a car that is FAR superior and takes the **** in performance pound for pound (money) every time. NO CONTEST
Has no one taken Paul up on his offer?

I doubt any AMG owner would bother with this site or the net 'cos they tend to be owned by fat, old men who don't go over 3k on their rev counter.
Unlike the M3, 5 etc. AMGs seem to be the preserve of the older business man, from what I've seen.
Nice cars though.

people who think this amg will wip my scoob make me laugh like chubs
yes ive had a do with one and it was a fast car but never under estimate the power of a scoob
next you amg fools will be saying that they are going to use them on tarmac rallys and win
go home with your family car and be a family man with your pipe tartan slippers and relax next to the open fire with your dog
and think of other ways to waste money
next you will be telling me that man city will win the european cup this year

Word of warning, some new AMGs have a supercharged 5.5l V8 - 460/470bhp. No matter what impreza you drive, it will have you on the traffic light drag. Especially watch out for the SL55 AMG - 200mph+
A guy in a neighbouring village has a Brabus M-Class with a 6.3 (might be 6.7) V12, over 500bhp - he eats Impreza and Evos for lunch off the line - even in a 2 tonne 4x4 Black car, black windows, Reg plate S4TAN

I have worked out that no matter what power output car x has, it wont get past me if I am already in front, I can get in the way of some fairly exotic machinery.
Go for it, hold up a Merc today !

Still talking about a car with a 4litre plus engine with a +40k price tag.
I'd still stick with my Scoob and spend the other 20K on my house/holidays/or the scoob.

My uncle has recently taken delivery of the new SL55 AMG. Maybe around a twisty mountain road with NO straights an STI would pull slightly away, mostly due to greater confidence for the unskilled average driver in throwing around corners a smaller lighter and much cheaper 4wd thingy. But on ANY other circumstance / track / autobarhn / whatever, the Merc will unfortunately obliterate any subaru ever made. The thing goes like the millenium falcon. It accellerates at any speed in any gear at the rate of an STI in first with a 5000rpm clutch sidestep.
Another planet of power: mindblowing.
And as a side issue, I've never seen such an effect on women, even better than ferraris!
If I has his $$$ I'd still have a 911 GT2 though.

I reckon the SL55 AMG would toast any Scooby on any road (bar dirt track). Especially the FIA's F1 safety car with Bernd Maylander driving! So there

Why not have an STi7 for weekends and fun, the new E55 AMG(12 months away) ordered for work, an SL 55 AMG (due next March)ordered for dirty weekends away, and an ML55 AMG to tow the jetski?
I'll get my coat but wont be foolish enough to compare what I play in to what can be used everyday and p**s all over my STi unless on twisties. Admitedly the ML struggles all over the place but it's not supercharged!
