Daryl - have you seen the Journey live 2001 DVD
Ross Valory looks like he should be in a Tarintino movie
Also watch Neal gesturing to his soundman during the Higher Place solo & he still manages to play a blistering solo

Yeah, I got that DVD on holiday in Las Vegas. The girl in the shop said, "Gee, are they STILL around"
You're right, Ross Valory has got a face well suited to radio
And Augeri sounds (and looks) uncannily like Steve Perry.
When you said you like their first 3 albums, do you mean the Jazzy ones - Journey, Look Into the Future and Next, or the first three with Perry - Infinity, Evolution and Departure. Must admit, I prefer the latter.

Journey
I prefer the first 3, but they are all good except Raised on Radio & the 1st comeback album Trial by Fire.
A couple of Schons other bands are worth searching out - the 1st Bad English album with Jonathan Waite, Deen Castranova & Jonathan Caine
The Hardline had some decent songs too & I saw them when they supported Extreme at the SECC a few years back
