Rich & family
It was an honour for myself and my wife to be there to pay tribute to your sad loss. I do not think that anybody that went was untouched by a. the amount of people that nick knew b, The kind and loving tributes everybody said. It appearred to me that nick was a well loved and liked individual however strength must be gained from the love that was shown yesterday towards yourselves and nick.
Dont forget that nick is never far away.

Hi,
Thank you so much to all of you who turned out yesterday for Nick's funeral and to those of you who revved your cars and did whatever tributes you thought fit.
Both me and my family were deeply moved by the response from Scoobynet and everything that has been done and said for Nick.
Thanks especially to Gossy who videoed the whole event for posterity after travelling such a long way. My parents were bowled over by the whole thing.
Loads of guests came up to me and said how great it was to see all the cars with their black ribbons and hear them rumbling up the road.
Special thanks also to my mate Mellow for organising the Birch meet and to Michelle for co-ordinating the Southern/Midlands posse.
In fact thank you to everyone for giving my brother the best send off I could have hoped for. Peolple came from all over the country and it was truly amazing.
I'm going to keep you all posted of the developments with Nick's car and when we smash the 300bhp mark!!![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Take care all of you and see you soon.
Rich

I echo all the previous threads and i`m sure all scooby enthusiasts and people who knew Nick will have him in their thoughts at this sad time! My thoughts are with you and your family at this time!

Despite not knowing Nick or his family, I'd like to pay my respects. It is always terrible losing someone whatever their age, but for someone so young to no longer be with us is a terrible shame/loss.
My sympathies,
Kevin

I would like to thank Rich and his family for their hospitality yesterday. It made me realise how precious every moment in life is.
Nick would have been very proud.

Dear Rich and Family,
I hope my words ease some of your pain.
I've just read the entire thread and I felt I had to express my sorrow. It has filled me up reading all the tributes, sounds like Nick was a top bloke, I wish I could of met him, may he Rest In Peace.
I have just signed up to donate all my organs and my g/f has too, something we would have never considered unless it wasn't for Nick. What a guy. I will also be handing out donation cards to my friends and family.
I never knew Nick and sadly never will, but we did have at least one thing in common - A passion for Subaru's.
The send off was very appropriate, I wish I had known about it
It must have been a very moving experience.
I hope you all make it through this, remember time is a healer. Nick will always be remembered and loved.
My thoughts are with you.

Thanks Rich.
I was both proud and honoured to be able to make it.
Your words at the service were a great tribute to an obviously much-loved brother and friend.

PS. Apologies to the van driver who had to wait whilst 25 Scoobies performed a U-turn trying to find the reception

Thank you everyone.
I've glad those who attended enjoyed (if that's the right word) the funeral. It really was fantastic to see all those Subs turn out.
I will always be wearing those shoes, Yoza, no fear![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
I'm glad that this event has not only made people rethink about organ donorship (like James) but has also made people reconsider life and realise how fragile and precious it is (like Scooby babe said). Sometimes we fall out with the people we love and treat them badly, but it makes you really think that we shouldn't. Fortunately, Nick and I never fell out, but I hope his death helps to make some of us appreciate the ones we love just a little bit more.
Thanks
