Hi Rich!
i only met you once at well lane and you probably cant remember me.
But after reading the last nine pages i definately have a tear in my eye!
its made me realise how fragile and short life can be and will make me look at things diffrently in the future!
it also makes any worries i have miniscule!
My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family, as i cant even think what your going through right now.
At least he had a passion in life which some people never find, just crying shame he didnt get the chance to enjoy it for the years to come.
its tragic!
Take care Rich!

I'm so sorry to hear this terrible news.
Reading all these posts has actually brought a tear to my eye.
Never met him but I can see he was 100% Scooby mad
I live very near Oldham so I'll do my best to try and meet up.
Again I am so sorry to hear this tragic news.
It really puts life into perspective.

Now it's my turn to be the one who doesn't know what to say.
I really am so touched by all your replies.
I cannot believe the level of response this has generated. It restores my faith in human nature.
People who didn't even know us have been moved to tears.
The best bit is that other people are getting donor cards an so Nick has helped to save even more lives. That was just Nick all over though, he had a magnetism that drew people to him. I've never known someone with so many friends.
ANYONE who wants to come to the funeral is welcome, whether you have a Scooby or a pushbike. I would be glad to see you all.
I told my Dad last night of the response and how people were getting donor cards etc. and he cried with pride.
Thank you everyone.
What a wonderful community we have here.

So sorry to hear your tragic news.
It really puts life into perspective - i held my son closer than ever before, last night.
Our thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.
I will be unable to attend the funeral, but please post a time so that i can at least think of you, and take the scoob at for a blast.

Rich , I can think that everyone on this BB has some problems in there life but when we hear what has happened to you and your family it makes any of my problems seem insignificant , I can only hope that the warm and kind messages posted on here makes it a bit easier for you and to be proud of your brother ,

So sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.
I did not meet your brother but as and when you post the details of the funeral I will do my best to be there. I am sure he will appreciate your efforts on this very special subaru meet!

Sorry to hear about your loss also. It seems that there is nothing left for me to say that hasn't already been said.
I to await the details because I will make every effort to attend

My deepest sympathies are with yourself and your family....
I too have just had the shock news that a friend died this morning in a car accident.
It's at times like these that you realise what a great community the people of scoobynet are.. allthough only briefly meeting your brother on Thursday, this thread really has brought a tear to my eye.
I will gladly attend the funeral if i can. Keep us up to date with the details.
