Laser Diffuser Test

Certain makes me wonder what kind of technoology the GUN2 was using. Not that it will bother me a.t.m as it sounds like its only use is for built up areas, not on the open highway where i tend not to take too much notice of speed limits...phew!
Worrying though as if they are able to increased the distance GUN2 works at, then theymay be able to use it in national speed limits, where you can see for quite a way.
Saying that though, it would be long before the next batch of diffusers will be out
Thanks for the photos BuRR, took me 45 minutes (no...really!) to download them on my crappy isdn Got one as my wallpaper now as its better than all the shot`s i`ve ever taken with my camera!
Rich.

I suspect it was'nt the fact that Gun was jammer proof but the fact that it could only be used from 100-130 Ft. At that distance the beam would be very narrow and as such less likely to hit the senors or jammer. Since it can only be used 'point blank' I suspect the beams power is quite low too.

Again, probably because he is so close, the footprint of the lasar is so small it never touched the Blinder units. *Hopefully*
With the ProLasar II the footprint at 1000yrds is 3.5sq/ft so you get an instant hit on the blinder, no matter where on the front of the car its aimed for.
oh... and LOL @ video BuRR ...... the last thing i was expecting! Gonna upload it to the website if thats o.k. too

BuRR,
Thank you for organising this event. I found it extremely reassuring to know the Blinder actually works. Pass on my gratitude to yur mate for the use of the equipment and for letting me have a play. It really is too easy to use.... The piccies are great by the way.
Shunty,
Sorry for the poor performance. As BuRR mentioned, what you didn't see was my anti-hijack bringing me to a halt just before the roundabout and me wrestling with the gears and trying to disarm it. If you had been a spy in the cab you would have laughed your sides sore Excuses aside, that motor of yours is no slouch, what have you had done?
RichW,
Thanks for the run in your Evo. Wickedly fast and great sounding. Love the atmospheric dump. I would hate to meet you at a set of lights . Seriously quick.
To the rest in attendance, nice to have met you all. Boomer. GET ONE.

BuRR,
it is on the new bit of road built to link Silverstone to the M40. Just as you enter the dual-carriageway there is a Truvelo.
It's rather poor planning if a brand new road is dangerous from the start

aaah - I see - I was getting confused by you saying it was where we first met. I didn't realise you meant on another occasion.

Thread makes an interesting read.. and some great pictures!
I just had a thought, this is a thought and has not happened to me... yet...
If I am on a bike and go past a safety camera van they point the laser at the front of the bike.. and record the front of my bike going past... will the officer or operator turn round and write down my reg plate??
As surely on the video there will be just the front and proving it is me might be difficult?
Any ideas?

lads, after speaking with BuRR regarding this new camera.....I am pleased to say that my LE-850 does detect it, twice in fact although I did get a strange look from the copper
Mine went off at approx 20-30 metres....
It had a video camera mounted on top, with 2 gatso looking circles underneath, never seen 1 before.
So the detection frequencies or whatever must be different in the LE-850 compared to the Blinder.
Unfortunatly BuRR is on his holidays so I can't wind him up yet
Edited to say it's GUN 2 in BuRR's earlier post on this thread.

Sadly it looks like the LE850 is no longer available, but it is due to be replaced by the LRC100.

hey, thats my mate Glenn Wallace's car/setup. Glenn lives in Seattle and he used that WRX for TSD Rallies. That one died on a TSD this year so he got another WRX to replace it.
Really top bloke.

test went great again, worked a treat,
off topic a bit, S555 --- in your STI 7 (which looked v nice btw & sorry can't remember your name), what happened to our straight line race ?? I pulled a few car lengths out of you before I hit 4th gear.... & you were EXTREMELY slow round the roundabout for the run back down the straight....I even stopped in the layby & waited for you
I thought the new STI's had 280-300 bhp??
got a blast out in RichW's Evo, cheers mate....now that was a fookin quick car, & yes John Felstead it does go sideways round corners mate

steve 555, yeah likely story
get that ppp ordered asap....can't have classics pulling away from ya
I only have 278bhp & 245llb's.....but that heavier body must be taking it's toll, you are gonna need 320+ bhp in my eyes to catch a 280bhp UK 1235kg's scoob.
/puts me wooden spoon down now.....
