My main point is that choice is something people like and if you have the choice of de-catting your car and invalidating certain parts of the warranty
I am not sure the STI sold in the UK is the same as the one sold in France (265hp) as far as the engine internals are concerned, but if it is, it has very good chances of blowing the engine. I am being told close to thirty STIs in France have blown up already, and that people who changed the exhaust have problems getting the damn thing fixed under warranty. Just a word of caution...

Oh, and the reason you can't get a UK STi with close to 300bhp from the factory is because it wouldn't pass EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval, or the Euro 3/4 emissions regs
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Actually, the reason is never BECAUSE, the reason is always THAT
ROFL - a Frenchman teaching me English Actually, Claudius, if you are actually French, i'll let you off for two reasons:

1) Your English is better than my French (ma io parlare Italiano)
2) I like the French (unlike many of my countrymates)

Si dice "(io) parlo italiano" (that should be "parlo italiano", not "parlare italiano"). Io parlo veramente italiano, tu cerchi a provare qualcosa! (I actually do speak Italian, you are just trying to prove something)

2) I like the French (unlike many of my countrymates)
Sorry, davy, I'm straight!

Funny how French is similar to Italian in many ways
How could you possibly tell? You are Belgian (assuming it from your location like you have done with me), you dont speak French (although you may be half way able to write it as you just showed us, or is that from a flamish / French online translator? )

Does "va te faire enculer" count as French ?

It's Flemmish BTW

And you might want to read up on what languages are used/spoken in Belgium. Typical French to underestimate them BTW

Ever heard of Jacques Brel ?

Salut... tu vas ... bhhhiennn ?

A cinq ans et demi j'avais déjà my Ferrari
J'pouvais pas la conduire, bien sûre, j'etais trop petit

(where's this from if you are really French ? )

Or did I get this from an online translator ?

Mind you, my writing is poor, but I can probably give you a slapping in French at the Ring you wouldn't believe it

Oh, and I'm there 6/7th of sept. Are you ?

Just back from the bar, didnt like the JD coke, that's probably why I only had 2...

Does "va te faire enculer" count as French ?
Of course it does enculé

And you might want to read up on what languages are used/spoken in Belgium.
French (sort of), Flemmish and German?

Ever heard of Jacques Brel ?
Sure. What about him, except that he's dead, Belgian (good combination, that ) and that his songs suck dick?

A cinq ans et demi j'avais déjà my Ferrari
J'pouvais pas la conduire, bien sûre, j'etais trop petit

(where's this from if you are really French?)
Heard that before, no idea where it's from. And I'm not French, although I get on some people's nerves like I am

you forgot to say "if you let me borrow your car" at the end of your sentence.

Oh, and I'm there 6/7th of sept. Are you ?
I doubt I'll be able to make that date, but if I can, I will. Other than that, I plan to kick some Porsche Turbo a$$ on the weekend some scoobynetters are going (what was it, 22/23, something like that?)

Well ...

true...

... maybe if you join the crazy people here at the ring weekend in Sept, I can teach to some Italian after having kicked you butt on the track?

Ok I'm not going to pick up on every single of your spelling mistakes (BTW, good I cannot HEAR you here ), that would take too long; but VAFFANCULO is THE Italian classic you should know how to spell. (that means go **** yourself, BTW )

Who cares, man? You can get better lightweight exhausts, forged engine internals, programmable ECUs with LCD etc etc imported from Japan.
