With so many offshore personell on scoobynet , anyone got any news of whats going to happen next August when the Working Time Directive comes into force?? We were under the impression that we would get three on two off , but it doesnt look like this now?? Anyone shed any light on the subject??

Doug, I believe most outfits are looking at a five shift rota, where those who are currently on 2/2 will go 2/2, 2/2 then a 2on 3 off, starting the cycle again.
I think Shell are the ONLY company at the moment who adhere to the regs with 3 six week breaks a , IIRC 2/2, 2/2, 2/6...

evojkp is right. Shell already adhere to the working time directive with the "even six" rota which is two on, two off for four trips then you get a trip off. This works out as a 20 week cycle where you get six weeks holiday every 14 weeks

evojkp - Yeah I have heard of the five shift rota , just waiting to see what happens on here though. No announcement as yet as what we will be doing.
The "even six" as run by shell to mean sounds the best way around the WTD , I would personally prefer that to 2 and 3.
