How successful is this forum for selling stuff?

Everything I have advertised I have sold...
...strangely, maybe it is the sort of stuff I sell - the majority of buyers have been overseas.
Alway been a good experience.
Simon - splitting it into different sections would be good - like Scooby parts, non-scooby parts, cars, other stuff, ****
(oooops - did I say that out loud)

Webmaster,
haven't you just answered your own question?
Surely it's the amount of traffic which will indicate if something is being used. The prices will dictate whether the items sell or not.
If it's not already apparent the biggest snag with the current setup is that the trivia sales generate more guff than the bigger items, hence why cars and other slower selling items disappear down the list. There should be no need to have to keep replying to your own ads to keep them on show.
The matter of splitting it up into categories was raised months ago and you guys have already said it will happen. So what are you (we) waiting for.......

most people are trust worthy on here, but not all, ive been fooked out of eighty quid.. not enough to really worry about, but makes you loose your faith..
Give it a couple of weeks and Ill name and shame and also send 100 emails per hour until I get a reply.. and yes I can and will!
Other than that, bought, sold, and given stuff away..
David

David if you leave it a couple of weeks he or she who fiddled you may get some other unsuspecting buyer on here to part with money, name names now i say so no one else falls foul to them.

yep, must stuff sell easily, depending on what you have, over priced items come by a lot but good deals too, most people are trustworthy but some are utter tw@ts!
things sell too quick so you have to live on here if you want smoething!

Bought and Sold stuff on here including Scooby parts and other stuff. Board works well and things either sell immediately or hang around a while but so long as you keep bumping so that casual visitors get a chance to see them then its fine.
My worry with splitting the forum up is that people who are casual visitors wont be bothered to look through all the sub categories and thus miss somthing they might have been interetsed in (and the seller misses the sale).
I think its fine the way it is.
Jon.

When Selling and Buying
If people worry about my integrity when selling stuff, they can always ask for references and I'll give them email addresses all over the world you have bought odds and sods from me. If you have concerns regarding the seller, then you can always ask for references, if you don't like them then don't part with your cash.
Good Forum, may be better if split up into sections, but then the Schredder sale might not have happened!
