Beef- we need to say some more contentious things in order to get a raft of replies explaining why a Focus RS can't possibly beat an Sti round goodwood......because it can't and their whole world's come crashing down.
Btw - I also heard that a standard Saxo VTR beat the STi by over 5 clear seconds.....

Oooh, scandalous.....
Personally, i heard that Carlo's knackered old Fiesta (Check out the members gallery for a laugh) took 9.5 secs out of 22b round Mallory Park the other day. In the wet. On slicks. With 1/2 tonne of bricks in the back.

Yeah - I heard about that - wasn't it being driven by 'The Fastest' in the 'cars costing over 70k' category?

Of course a DAF variomatic will go around Goodwood a full 2 hours a lap faster than a Focus RS. Why? Well with a simple tweak, the gearbox can be set to hold the engine revs constantly at 2500rpm, which is of course the Holy grail of track driving! It must be true, it said so in Autocar!
Thread advice: go straight to the muppet forum, do not pass GO, do not collect £200
