Ok you may be pulled by the police but its normally because you are exceeding the limit by x amount of mph!! and rightly so!
So there is no need to call them Pigs as i and some others on here (some of whom are police officers) may find offensive!

Sorry Tony I don't agree Respect has to be earnt not given/'deserved' and no Police Officer I have met has ever earnt respect
Most are hiding behind bushes/bridges/road signs brandishing some form of speed gun, or hidden up motorway sliproads/behind police observation points trying to snare unsuspecting drivers.
Not got a problem about them nicking the **** driving at 120 on the motorway, or 35 mph past a school at 3.30pm, but camping out on dual carriageways 100 yds after the 70 limit has become 40 is downright immoral, and certainly doesn't 'deserve' any respect
Even the local 'josworth' bobby will talk down to you, patronising you, inflicting his 'power' on you at any chance
Fascist, picked on at school, jumped up little hitlers the lot of them - IMO of course

Pisses me right off when:
- people don't indicate
- middle lane owners club members
- tailgaters
- the fact I paid a load of cash for my scoob 3 years ago and I look at what I could buy now for the same money
- when flies hit my windscreen
Non car **** offs
- the video/DVD censorship laws in the UK
- the anti-motorist lobby
- petrol prices
- in fact, the prices of lot's of things in the UK!
- my expanding waistline!
The list goes on.....

i,m with you on that one
when some scum bag breaks into your house, steals your keys, drives your car flat out, then dumps it,and keeps the keys,O.K.i got my car back undamaged, but had to have a new lock set put on and all my house locks changed, what did the police do?
they said they knew who it was but it would not be economical to try and prosecute as he would probably just get a slap on the wrist!!!!!
makes my brain start thinking about voilent acts,
but then again they cant waste resorses on things like that when some one might be doing85 on a clear motorway and they know us motorists pay up without question

Fellow scooby owners who whinge about max power brigade trying to take them on, and then next thing you know there putting up replies about trying to push Ferrari owners to play and say they weren't having any of it! Sorry but isn't that the same as the MPB pushing the scoob?

Pretty much all of the above, but I don't mind REM
*lol* @ comment about people coming the otherway flashing when you've already made your overtaking manouver - something that'l never upset a nova boy *lol*
One that springs to mind - naff road positioning. There's a big roundabout near me, irst exit is left, second and third exit are both right. There's a filter lane for left then two lanes to go for second and third exit. It pisses me off when people think 'I'm going right, therefore I should be in the right hand lane'. So, I'm taking the second exit and all these other fools taking the second exit sit in the right then cut me up to take the exit. All you have to do is position yourself in relation to your exit, not the points of the compass!
Oh, and another quicker car related one, people who cut you up on a roundabout 'cos they don't expect you to overtake them going round it.
oh, and, no I'll leave it

Fog lights when it isn't foggy!
allthough i have some, i only use them down Windly lanes and when it is foggy,
people who fail to move over on Dual Carrigways,
Tailgaters,
people who don't let you out, when they cleary could have,
Massive Spitters, Spoilers, on really **** cars like Nova's when they blatently don't have more than a 950cc Engine,
People who try and Race off Traffic lights,
People who speed in 30 Zones!!!!!!!!
People who tailgate just beucase i am doing 30 in a 30
people who attempt to over take on Bendy A Roads, and then get upset when you put your foot down and leave them standing, and then fly up to you when you at Stationary at the next Roundabout.

Tony Burn - the reason I called him a pig was cause he acted like one - fair enough I was doing 60 on a dual carriageway which has the odd minute 40 sign, and was driving perfectly safely IMO - but bang to rights - give me a fine and 3 pts and f*ck off - BUT NO - he has to moan about my plates, which aren't illegal, but he reckoned they were, and then say that i'll be going to court.
The worst of it was I had just come out of a meeting with the Police because they had failed to help a harassed tenant of mine by not attending a number of 999 calls, and who had just tried to commit suicide - Understaffed and under-resourced are they? Not under-resourced enough to buy nice unmarked cars and stick expensive cameras in them!
My point is - HE was a PIG - you will note though that I didn't say all coppers were pigs.

Some of the people on here seem to type 'hard'......I wander if they really are 'hard' or 'just talking a good fight' ? Its pretty easy to type "YEAH and if I caught up with that guy that called me w4nker etc etc......now really are you that insecure that you have to go chasing people that call you names ? I doubt you have ever done anything about it cos if you were really like that, you would be in prison by now serving time! Regarding things that make people mad, stress is a major contribution to heart attacks, high blood pressure etc.....so the next time some 'spotty little oik' goes past you in his 'NOVA', just smile and chill.....cos he ain't worth losing months off your life for!

I know they issue a few press releases, but aside from that, what do they do?? With six (seven?) figure revenue, the only time I ever hear about them is when someone is persuading me to join Can you tell me what they do?? and why spending 15ukp per year on them is better than spending 15ukp on lobbying myself?[/quote]
GaryC,
ABD income (from the period 1 April 2000 to 31 March 2001) was 20296.08 (I guess that is 7 figures if you remove the full stop!)
If you (or indeed, anyone else) wants to see this in 'on the record', send me an e-mail and I'll send you a .TIF file to see for yourself.
Might I refer you to the abd.org.uk website where you will find out an awful lot more information about what we do.
There is also a ABD Member-only list where members and the committee can discuss issues.
If you have specific questions, I will do my best to answer.
Regards,
C
