Nahh vigen cant put the power down. 9-5 aero has 250bhp and i cant get anywhere near my boss when he puts his foot down in 3rd. I'm probaly running about 260-270bhp as well.

Always amazes me how fast but smooth this car is and it looks very subtle from the outside.

oh i know thats why i drive the scoob. all i am saying is it is a very q car, and alot of people that own scoobs because of the good press, etc and not knowing much about any other cars, will be shocked if they get outgunned by one. Especially if wearing tweed cap and walking stick on parcel shelf

This is a good post - quite amusing!

I like the presumptions....... Saxo VTS will wipe the floor with a Sport! Yeah right! Saxo boy - I presume you're talking straight line here? Otherwise, I'll lnd you my video footage of John Felstead pasting all and sundry (UK300s, P1s, cossies) round the Nurburgring in a Sport.... I think it might have a little to do with the driver...

Just cos this guy drove a Saxo, doesn't mean he's got to be a 17 year old on mummy's insurance driving like a loon. Reputation has it that these cars can actually compliment driver skill with the relatively taught chassis etc.

Having said that, Mr Lewis, it's a Saxo.... and you never want to get beaten by one of them!

Sorry PON, your right I should have qualified my statement - I meant straight line! Through the bends almost any muppet can get beaten in a scooby if the guy driving the double decker bus behind him races them at the weekends

I still miss my Saxo a little. The scooby is more me, but the Saxo was bloody good fun and so much quicker than other road users expected it to be

Wink

just thought i'd add me own two penneth worth,,,, i used to sell saxo's,,, true they are cheap and quick but if u have size 3 feet and are well used to going back to your dealer with airbag lamps on, engine running rough, a brake pedal that goes right down to the floor, a rattling sunroof (as well as a leak) and keys that get stuck in the ignition?? well i apologise for owning a WRX turbo,.,,, you'll be able 2 see it in autotrader next week..... Just ask Mr J.D.Power..... so if u reckon they are quick, u are right, its just that my Scoob doesnt actually live @ Citroen UK!!!!!
Stick that in your Devil Back Box an smoke it !

Question

Did I say that I was pulling an 800kg trailer at the same time?? NO?? you dont SERIOUSLY think a Saxo/Pug or any of the other 'Girlie' cars could put up a challenge worthy of me moving my right foot do you?

As for Gold Wheels, why ADD weight? and why destroy my street cred? I am 19 stone - what the hell will the neighbours think if I pop Golds on my car????? hmmmmm nice sweetie!! No thanks!!

Cool

Saxo/106s get on my ****! I used to be able to waste Novas & XR2s with my XR4x4, even when it was towing the MkII Rally Car, but these
blighters are a different ball game, they've got one of the best little engines around, all wrapped up in a tiny little Bacofoil box that weighs the same as my door handle. And they are driven by 5 year old, lanky streaks of p155, who weigh the same as one of my legs. And the damned Scoob, with half as much power again than the Ford's got, can't even get near 'em!

I think I'm getting to old for this ****
