The image is projected up to the windscreen, at the point the numbers hit the screen some film is put in place which is silvered on the glass side.

This means that the sun does not destroy the display, the film is see through and is really just like having a minor tint in an area of the screen (usually low down).

There are also three brightness settings so they can be dimmed at night.

All in all a very fun piece of kit that is also very useful,

Megastream,

The unit has three brightness settings and works surprising well during the day, even when its sunny!.. That was one of my concerns, but even on a really sunny day, its the same brightness/visibility as if you had it on the dim-est setting at night.. which is very visible!
