Been thinking about this - the press said they havce charged him with murder, so surely they must have some evidence? I know you shouldn't always believe the press.

The police can only question someone under section if the psychiatrist says so, they can't just go and talk to him.

And as he's been charged, it's not like they are attempting to hold him without charging him. They just didn't want him in prison.

He'll be safer than Carr is where she's gone anyway ;-)

There are around 600 homicides in this country per year. Of those about 50-60 are considered to be mentally disordered. The number whose mental disorder is schizophrenia is a further sub-set.

Most people with schizophrenia are perfectly harmless.

Most homicides are carried out within the domestic setting by a relative or close friend of the victim.

Most sexual abuse and sexual homicide occurs in the family unit.

We do not know what mental disorder if any, Mr. Huntley has. the whole point is he is being assessed.

If he is too ill to be tried then he needs to be treated so that a trial can take place. If he is tried but needs on-going treatment then that will be continued at the secure hospital, and if he is found to have committed the offences, that treatment would be for easily as long if not longer than if he simply went to prison as a non-mentally disordered offender.

Whether they're Schitzo or not, if found guilty they should hang these sick *******s.

If there is ANY chance that this monster could reoffend again, once he's finished pretending to be sick and served his 15 years, then its too big a chance.

Society seems to be controlled more and more by Lefty Do-Gooders ("Murderers have rights too... etc") and the number of abductions/assaults and sexual murders goes up and up as a result. For god sake, these were two 10 year old girls! I don't care if he's a sick as a parrot. He should still die for what he's done.

Er, no, the chances of our children being abducted and murdered are lower now than in the 1970's.

Blip,

I'm with you on this.

Nice to see that some people seem to have faith in the most twisted self serving game we call justice..Keep appealing until you find some halfwit who believes you..when that fails appeal to some faceless European court until they order you receive massive compensation.

After all the offender is a victim too..therefore must need compensation..makes me sick

How do you know that Sebastian? (just curious where the data comes from?)

Let me guess... and their average IQ is quite a few points above that of most posters on Scoobynet

I admit not having read all substandard gibberish in this thread, but ... as sad as pheadophiles are... they don't all murder kids.
Some even love kids - more than their parents... go figure.

Remember that and your average IQ has just risen with about 10 points

Theo <not quite a fan of kiddy-fiddlers, au contraire>

PS: how many kids are murdered by their parents / how many by kiddy fiddlers ? You tell me.
