Didn't Alex Ferguson once speed down the hard shoulder to avoid traffic, then get away with it by saying he had the runs?He should have been locked up!

One I was driving my old man's Merc down the M4 & there was an Opel Manta parked in Lane 2 (middle).

Luckily he had his hazard's on & I had time to swerve.

There was no black lines so it can't of been an engine seizure.

Safe Driving

Ed.

i think people overtaking up the hard shoulder are total tw*ts. I saw a "breakdown" van do it the other day, but he wasnt attending anyone and it was towards roadworks, for about 1.5miles. I wished the police had been around.

I think some money from all these "safety cameras" and ****** hiding with hairdriers should be spent on making the hard shoulder 2 lanes wide. (Not at cost of width of motorway hehe). This might help avoid the accidents such as lorries drifting into dead cars but also allow innocent people the chance to not be hit by morons who use the hard shoulder as their private lane.

And how's about some cameras like the "buslane" ones. Carrying a ban for people caught driving up the hard shoulder without a valid reason?/?
