Thumbs up

Had mine just over 6 months now and despite a few stone chips and a mis aligned boot lid, I have had no problems whatsoever. The P1 is an absolute stonker and I love a car that can still surprise you when going out for a blast. The stone chips can be fixed, for goodness sake! You've bought yourself a great car.

Hi

I've had mine since March this year and its my first subaru, despite a brief spell in a bog standard sport while awaiting delivery of the P1, what can I say........ BLOODY brilliant..... treat it kind and it does reward, I have had no problems with mine at all and i live in the COUNTRY ! and the roads round here are liitle more then tracks, have no problems with stone chips etc, and yes i do a fair bit of motorway driving too. Best car i have ever owned IMHO and i've had a few cool cars in my time.

Enjoy it, I do every single day, if i had the money today I'd buy another one for the wife ...... yep even she likes it and believe me that's saying something !

Have fun with ya car..

Greg

Took delivery of my new P1 last night!
I think i will make a trip to the doctors and see if this big cheesy grin thats permanently on my face will do any lasting damage!

I just cant stop looking at it! I had an sti5typeR in grey up until yesterday, and although it looked good, doesn't compare to this! Just love the blue paint and gold wheels! Although its done next to no miles i have noticed a big stone chip already

I'd second the positive opinions here. I'd recommend getting the front armourfended, and the brake upgrade is useful although it does eat pads (I'm averaging 8000 miles per set at the moment). Then again I'm changing tyres every 10,000 miles so maybe it is just my unsympathetic driving

The P1 is not only quick (does over 165mph - see my top speed thread) but also very stable, just so long as you keep your foot on the gas. It is a difficult car to unsettle, just about the worst thing that should happen is some moderate understeer if you charge into a corner too quick.

As for tyres, although the Pirellis (205/45/17) are not the grippiest available, if you get S02s on 215/40 profile, it makes the car a bit harsh riding and fidgety under hard braking on rough surfaces. I prefer the lower grip but better ride sn superior stability of the Pirellis.

To whoever liked it for the first 1000 miles, just wait till you get it serviced and use the 4000-7800 rev band!
