Puff,
Seriously you should be real pissed with her. In my opinion I think you should be more mad at her than her boss. At the end of the day she's the one you should be able to trust the most. Who cares about some slimey **** hole boss. Her action are very suspicious. Make sure she's not doing the dirty on you.

Oh for goodness sake!
I applaud your wife's foresight and good planning. Knowing she would nick PTMW for the trip, but might not be up to all that driving, makes perfect sense to insure a potential co-driver, rather than risk an uninsured accident.
I'd kill the cow, by the way.

Puff mate,
The issue here is that she didn't discuss it with you up front.
As said above, honesty and openess is all important.
As I see it, the biggest issue here is not him driving the car, but the fact that her "deal" whatever that may be with her boss took priority to your feelings and position on the matter.
BUT - who's car actually is it? Yours, the wife's or both?
If its half hers, then (and you're not going to like this) she's probably rebelling about your "selfish" as she may see it attitude. Still should have told you first though.

Ok, she should have discussed this with you beforehand rather than hiding it from you and knowing you would be upset.
I assume SHE paid to add him onto the policy?
Childish thought: I assume the cooper is going to be mainly for her? (guess) Wait for the cooper to arrive and then insure the most "enthusiastic" driver you know on it without her knowing... Hi dear, I hope you don't mind, but SimonDB's been showing me how to drive the cooper on bruntimgthorpe... sideways...![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif)

Might In say how good it is that someone has reported a wife that is motivated, inventive, self aware, gets someone else insured on their hubbie scooby so if it's smashed up, she can blame them. Talk about forward planning.
Puff, you should be rewarding her. I wonder how many other people here have had similar run ins with the other half and are staying hush about it.
Maybe there should be a separate area for disgruntled partners.

Well, I'm buying her the Cooper I suppose but if she doesn't bring home the extra bacon, then I can think about trading her in![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif)
Diablo
Its meant to be "ours" but I paid for it
BarryK
Yup - wife is quite sensible on things like insurance, being as how she's a solicitor
However, it wasn't the tiredness thing, it was to let the boss have a blast. Shame he didn't get stopped for speeding - that would've been amusing...

Like your idea![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif)

That'll explain why you've not divorced her !
I went out with a Solicitor, and it cost me the thin end of £20,000 to get rid of her.
