CO55IE,
IT SEEMS AFTER READING THESE AND OTHER THREADS THAT YOU HAVE MADE QUITE A NAME FOR YOURSELF ON THIS BOARD.
IT ALSO SEEMS YOU HAVE MADE JUST AS MANY ENEMIES,I AM SURE AT HEART YOU ARE A DECENT CHAP AND LOVE YOUR PRIDE AND JOY JUST AS MUCH AS THE NEXT PERSON, BUT I REALLY THINK ENOUGH IS ENOUGH AND YOU SHOULD CALL IT A DAY POSTING ON THIS BOARD BEFORE IT GETS TOTALLY OUT OF HAND.

I PERSONALLY WISH YOU THE BEST,BUT DO GET DISHEARTENED WHEN I READ SOME OF YOUR MOST UN-CONSTRUCTIVE POSTS.

ALL THE BEST.

just my thought.

it is always down to one thing innit? my marque is faster, better, bla bla bla than yours.

to be fair, this is SCOOBYNET, no one's going to stop anyone, like cossie, if they slag sccoby's off on the ford forum, let me repeat FORD FORUM.

there is nothing wrong with scooby owners being proud of their pride and joy in this forum. as they say, CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN. so, if scooby owners cant comment on other cars in their own forum *sometimes a bit egoistically*, what's the point of having so many different forums then?

i have owned an evo, nsx and currently a sccob, i never go around to mls to slag off threads praising evos. just read and take things easy and don't rant like a child.

cossie,
want to slag off scoobs, go elsewhere where you can do it freely. why attract all the unwanted attention and reprisals? or is that what u are looking for?

sorry if i have offended anyone. just my opinion.

Sorry, had to stick my bit in.
Been reading posts and enjoying the forums for a while. this happens on all forums and all cars, I have a 2001 New Beetle well modded, and yes some scooby owners IMHO are ******, BUT only for the reason they wont swap their 300+bhp wrx/V/sti/sooperdooperscooby for my humble Bug!
I love Scooby's, I love Cossies, I also love my bug, but we all have something in common, we all love our cars.
I know from experience that face to face, we shake hands and give respect to each other for the time/money and effort we give to our cars, and the scooby/bettle community.
There Lecture over.
As you were everyone.

P.S Mine still better than yours.

As another cossie owner, and regular scoobynet reader, I find this all highly amusing.

Simple fact of the matter is that those who love performance cars in general will respect any car for it's ability, regardless of rivalry etc etc... I consider myself a true performance car enthusiast - I don't subscribe to EVO magazine for all the cossie related articles!

Anyway, point is this. A lot of scooby owners are stuck up. A lot of cossie owners are tw@ts.... but all the clubs share massive levels of hypocrisy. That's why you get people on this board chastising you for doing 31mph in a 30 limit, and that's why you get people on the RS board saying they raced such and such and whooped it's ***.....etc etc...

Scoobynet people often come down on those who post about speed on the roads etc etc, but log onto the main forum, and there's usually five to ten posts titled "Scooby v Audi TT" etc.. It drives me insane when people on this board pretend that they just drive to and from the race circuit, observing all speed limits, all of the time. If you haven't given your scoob a little bit of stick round the country lanes, on a nice hot afternoon with not a soul in sight, then you've bought the wrong car!!!!!

In the same vein though, there are plenty of RS owners that are muppets. Stupid antics on the roads, in carparks and all that cr@p... Cossie owners tend to think that their cars are the fastest in a straight line, but that Ten of the Best Day was a real eye opener for some people.

I can guarantee you this though. Most RS owners who slag off scoobies etc etc have probably never even been in one, let alone driven one. I have done both, and found it to be a fun and totally rewarding experience.

Cheers.

Rich.

BTW, my cossie powered taxi is the fastest thing in the world, and beats anything

Platy,
we all know that the original VW (now known as the beetle) as it was just called volkswagen (peoples car) to start with and that its not really a copy of the original cos the engine aint in the boot
My mate had a look at one (hes a vw freak!) when he had his mk3 golf gti 8v (his second one BTW!) but he opted for a 5 door mk4 8v golf gti instead mainly cos he wanted 5 doors cos of his baby son (still as its an 8v and who produces 8v performance cars anymore ) anyway i tried to enlighten him to the way of the scoob but it didnt work unfortunately, there he was paying 1200 quid per year on insurance on a mk3 gti 8v and there i was paying 1200 per year on a MY00 modified scoob and hes 2yrs older with full NCB, now work that out and my car has double his power and he only lives 1/2 a mile away in the same postcode area
He was a bit hacked off though when i told him that his rear rhs brake light didnt work his reply?
Thats never happened before VW's for you i suppose

Thumbs down

I suggest whenever CO55IE posts a thread we all ignore it.
I've trawled through his input and it just winds people up without being constructive. He knows we all don't mind friendly banter but he takes the mick.

Lets ignore him, that's what happens to naughty school children.

Unhappy

Tony Burns,
I dont understand your comments, I am not running any cars down here, and I know that possibly every members cars will blow my Bug away, as for insurance, the beetle is no more to insure than say a focus or any car with similar spec, price for price, yes there are more sensible cars but lets face it if thats what we wanted, thats what we'd have, the New Beetle represents Style/safety/security and most of all reliability, something the old beetle doesnt have, I still love the old Buggs, but need something more modern, my car was almost £13,000 new, but the mod,s were all included, so for a new car with style and all the equiptment the NB's have, I think they are good value.
I would love a Scooby, but the cost's are to high for me at the moment, I dont know of anywhere you can get hold of a uk supplied brand new WRX or STI for £13,000, I looked at an import, but the insurance and purchase cost was very high for me.
Sorry if I offended you or anyone on this forum, that was not my intention.

I'm getting sick of this. Co55ie has contributed nothing positive IMO to this site and has done nothing but wreck threads and stir things up. I'm sure his car is very fast and very able but I for one can't be ar5ed with his posts which always praise the cossie and slate anything from Japan.

I hereby vote for his login name to be erased!

If any one sees him @ Santa Pod, give him a SLAP and knock his baseball cap of his spotty head.

OK, enough bulls!t - I know at least one guy who, given any car and a fair wind, can take the p1ss out of most cars. This guy is a 40 something bloke who passed his test at 17.

Cool

I doubt that the new username is co55ie in his true form but a rider of one of the several bandwagons that always pass by when controversy and arguments are at large

ummmmmmmm
co55ie , why don't you create co55ienet and slag all scoob owners off from there.
Its a pretty bland statement to make that all scoob owners are pr1cks, since you don't know everyone. Get down Tesco's and get a life.

Tony, no problem, I thaught my comments were taken the wrong way, the 8v motors are reliable but old news, I agree they should all be 16v this day and age.
