John,
Just back in after a wee run (over an hour) and the cars driving like a dream. Acceleration in all gear is tremendous with the biggest noticeable difference in 4th and 5th. The car is much smoother through all the gears at the sound of the turbo spooling at around 3,500 revs is great.
I am now going to try and relearn driving the car to maximise the extra boost!.
Thank you very much for taking the time to set this up and to anyone else considering this give it a go. Since John offers this on the basis that he will remap the ECU to is original settings if you're not happy at no cost, you have nothing to lose and a lot (potentially) to gain.

John,
Your email account is broke, cannot reply to you.
Extremely interested;
Where are you based? Oxford myself
Estimate of whether resale value will get me some of my cash back?
Warranty / Reliability implications? 9mths warranty left.
Also, what tyres you recommend for b road driving, 500 notes my budget with 10,000 miles per set required in reasonably sporty driving.

Sorry you could not reply - please resend, no problems with email account from what I can tell since receiving fine.
Where are you based - Fife, so a bit of treck, and there are other tuners nearer to you.

Someone has sold theirs on and done OK.

Warranty is void as with all non-approved mods. You need to weigh that up.

I have tried Toyo Proxes and Goodyear Eagle F1 and like them both. The new tread pattern on the F1 seems to win the reviews although I have not tried them yet so can't comment.

Latest results (can't keep this boy off the dyno
) :
309 BHP, 209 at the wheels, 289 lbft with downpipe and the map on a conservative dyno.
Midsection and backbox still to be changed. Maybe 315 BHP?

Thanks again John for the excellent work on the re-map.
Thanks also to Jim at Star for giving me the use of the dyno (at very reasonable rates). A lot of you may think i'm mad to keep putting the car on the dyno but to be honest how do you know what extra performance you gain from any given mod unless you do. Jim does try to replicate simillar conditions each time you run and unless you have a baseline figure to work from you might never know what gains have been acheived.
