If money was no issue would you buy an evo or a scooby

Evo - No nonense raw driving experience, superior in every facet for performance.
Scoob - cheaper to service and run, easier to live with, but still awesome what it offers (the P1 and 22B are both gorgeous)
Evo - looks are hard and violent.
Sccob - looks are pretty but less menacing (not including new shape).

scoobycar
i cant speak for claudius, but on the whole, the mlr is a very friendly place, and a lot of the guys on there are ex scooby owners. ive owned two myself, and still like 'em.
but if given the choice between a P1 and an evo6 for example, i would (and did
) choose an evo.
incidentally, ive never been round a track, and never will in my car. its a fast road car and nothing more. i wouldnt forgive myself if i stacked it on a track.
i chose the evo for a couple of reasons...
1. been there, done that as far as scoobys go
2. scoobys are EVERYWHERE, evo's less common sight
3. i loved the looks of a black 6
4. most important reason....i wanted an awd 4 door car that could be tuned to silly bhp, with bombproof mechanicals and good reliability. mileage wasnt an issue because i do under 6k a year.
ive got my car up to 298bhp paw/387bhp at the flywheel with not too much effort/money.
yet it is still used as an everyday car, goes like fukk, and stands out from the crowd.
it will be on the mlr stand on sunday, you are more than welcome to have a nosey...but be warned, you may just want one after you see and hear mine![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)

"All of the Subaru owners I have talked to said that they would love to have an Evo but couldnt afford it. So I doubt your prophecy."
This is the first mention of snobbery, interestingly by an evo owner ,where did you get that from my thread, I was deliberatly trying to avoid such nonsence.
I was simply telling you what people told me. And I dont see what that has to do with being a snob. Dont call me a snob just because I can go faster than you in a car I paid more for. There's no point in that.
Furthermore, if there were no Evos, I would drive a scooby just like you. I never said nor meant to say I dont like them, I just dont like them as much. Cant see the point in slagging someone off because he has a different opinion.
Oh, and for the record, hope this brings a smile to your faces: a lot of the people on the MLR are more concerned with keeping their car in perfect shape, wheel cleaners, polish etc. than driving the hell out of it. I've seen some big pussies there

Totally agree with you ! all this is just banter...who knows I might go for an evo 8 when it appears
so I wont be falling out with anyone thats for sure.
At the end of the day they are both great cars.....you pays your money, you makes your choice.

Fair does.....we have a number scooby nutters too ! One of those what if x met y on track z type senarios but (ducks expecting a good flaming for this
) I do have to concede that your average evo is quicker than you average scooby on a track.
