I think 3 months is plenty of time for the guy to have sorted it out, but he hasn't. The next time he does it will be with a different username but possibly the same realname and address.

So I am glad to see it, and know not to trust anyone using these details.

Agree with trusting a known SN member over someone with 4 posts.

Yes, but Michelle, none of us would rip a friend off to the tune of £80 either - some people deserve this sort of treatment im afraid, unless there is a genuine reason. But I doubt there is.

David

Agree with Michelle 9for once )

This is not the place to deal with these sort of disputes & certainly not posting people's addresses.

If something/anything were to happen to this person(whatever it might be), it leaves both yourself and scoobynet/membership open to intense scrutiny & potential litigation.

**** me!!

I can't believe this is actually going on!!

From what i've read so far, not one of you know who the guy is, yet, assumptions are getting banded about over how much of a scam this guy is trying to pull off.

Who else has had the same misfortunes from him?

Who's to say the guy hasn't moved house, is in hospital recovering from an illness, or indeed worse!

Best to write a letter to the address the cheque was sent to, make sure it's registered so as to confirm receipt and take it from there.

If a number can be obtained for the address, give it a phone and gauge the response from the recipient.

If it turns out to be an innocent misunderstanding, it'll be sorted but unfortunately , those that don't know the outcome will believe in the original complaint against the seller.
