Chris,
thanks for a top day out! We somehow managed to find all the traffic in the morning, but afternoon progress was a bit easier (appart from the odd rallycross moment )
Good fun, senisible driving on fantastic roads, and nice weather too.
Will have to try to get the photos developed asap.
(PS; not having the spoiler fitted didn't really affect the handling at all - but did get a few comments!)
Dave, Rachael and guest appearance from my little bro' Pete.
PPS - Rachael asks "What happened to Lozza?"

Thanks CW and Matt for organising the route.
Cheers to Harps WRX for a great drive, and all of the group for providing the entertainment, especially Dan, - interesting repair job
Anyone get a pic of that dog riding that motorbike with 2 up, thought I was seeing things
Amanda

Mmmmm, nice route, shame about the slow moving tourists. Thanks for a great time "Charles" ( ) the route was up to your usual high standard. Now looking forward to the treasure hunt. To Jim and Ian, hope I wasn't too slow, but at least we got to see the scenery. And Michelle, what can I say, I'm in awe of your navigational skills!

TaviaRS!
He doesnt let just anyone call him charles. Only very special people. Like me.
btw, cheers for that char*cough*.
Had a great time.....was wonderful seeing all those multi-coloured blurs passing my poor little escort.
Btw, thanks for the insults, Mr Sport driver.....but it could have been worse...I used to drive a 1 litre nova....

LOL
Chimple, i better not repeat the words used to describe your escort when we were in the convoy after lunch. We handn't realised you were with us
CW and all that helped organise this, damn fine day out. Thanks for the effort put in by all concerned. The meets are ok, but the organised drives are better
In my opinion, Leg 1 was by far the best, where did Mikey go after lunch the pace on leg 2 was hampered by those oh so famous Sunday drivers, eh Chimple?
Cheers CELL & Scooby_Loo

hehe!
Oi!
I'd actually given up completely...and was in proper sunday driver mode! I did try in the first leg....but when the car ur *trying* to follow overtakes 3 cars at once....and then up a hill...have u tried doing that in a bleeeedin escort!!?
Ur still alive, so I'll assume no!
And after almost mashing into the back on a greeny scoobaru cos my brakes were a little warm, well....the passenger gave me a little wave...if the brakes had been any warmer, I'd prolly have been sat next to ya....we could have had a little chat....
If ya think I drive slow, then gimme yer car keys.
I'll show you JUST how slow a scoobaru can go......

Glad you all enjoyed it I hope no-one got seriously lost, especially around Millthorpe & the back streets of Buxton although I did notice we had less & less people as the day went on. I know some of you missed the Ringinglow turn onto the moors, it appears that Derbyshire is suffering from a spate of signposts thefts!
I was highly amused at being able to start last and get to the pub 10 minutes before all of you for Lunch I think Matt & I saw most of you en-route! I'm glad you didn't try to follow us as we had our own little route sorted (I had done most of the route 3 or 4 times in the last few weeks so you forgive me for taking shortcuts)
Chimple: FYI 'Posted speed limits' are the ones with numbers at the top of the posts! Or is it your that your F.O.R.D. will fall apart if it ever gets to 60?
Gridlock Mikey had to shoot off at lunchtime to mend Ame's car
Lozza? What can I say,... 'overslept', AGAIN! I'll forgive her this time as she has been moving house. We'll just see if she turns up on Friday!

An excellent day all round; many thanks to CW for putting together such an interesting and varied route.
We managed to dodge the traffic, especially in the afternoon, with just two cars together, and it made for a memorable drive

lol@ever gets to 60....
Are you mad!?
Fords dont do that m8!
Anyway, I think the scoobaru version of 'posted speed limits' is about twice the speed of the car in front....you naughty ppl!
And before you start bragging about ur speeding abilities charles, remember that the rest of them had ME slowing them down!
It was soooo tempting to go the wrong way...and see how many scoobarus we could get lost...
