I am getting seriously annoyed in the same posistion with an mx5 with 350bhp.

Its irritating, but re do the middle race on turbo cars. Prize is 5k a time. Buy the expensive gearbox and you can get the car top 320kph will will destroy anything against you.

Buy a merecedes slk, then tune it in the same way. Race in the silver lady championship, winning 10k per time, then do it again on amateur level. Win all these and you get a clk dtm car which will beat everything. Apparently. I cant do it yet, only just bought the slk.

and dont make the mistake I did of building up money then saving the settings. You have to save the whole game otherwise you cant reinstate cars and money acquired under settings .

Feckin irritating.

been playing for a few hours - now have a MY01 WRX sport wagon (like mine) modded to 450 bhp (unlike mine!) and a STi7 old shape wagon too.

trainspotters:
+ have you noticed that the WRX STi has 6 gears! the wrx sti sport wagon doesn't have roof bars and only one tailpipe...
+ The rally car has UK license plates on it, the hyundi has german plates and the focus has UK plates.
+ They've taken the little 'hill' away from the first left corner on trail mountain so that the car doesn't take off when you clip it...
+ it now rains. it is awesome in the rain.
+ the first session in the amatuer races - if you win, you get a nice Sti7 as a bonus.
+ the text garb for the WRX says that the <MY00 is ugly and the MY01 is much better looking....
+ saying that, all the WRXen have HID light sets.

fabulous game. they have put so much more details into this one and the cars feel much better to drive - although, one bugging thing is I don't seem to be able to switch off Anti Spin Control and traction control system... i have all the licenses up to International B - will do iA tomorrow I think...!

I got an MX-5, tuned it to just under 300bhp (and suspension/brakes to match) earnt 60000cr and bought an STi6 and tuned it to around 480bhp, got to 160000cr an bought an SLK and tuned it to 400bhp to win the Amateur Silver Arrows and won a CLK Touring Car - Stupendously fast Thats as far as I have got, but with that thing the game (and earnings potential) have suddenly leaped forward

Observations so far - they have *really* factored in the Imprezas tendancy to understeer Compared to most cars driven so far, the Scoob handles like crap - 'powerslide' fun though even the modded SLK handles better

What a disaster - did 4 licenses then went to look at what car I could buy - buy a Toyota Yaris (with most of my money) just to see what is like, forgetting I am now stuck with it unless I want to abandon it and do all the licenses again....!!
So, 5 hours of gameplay later the Yaris is up to 285 bhp (totally uncontrollable) and I win enough to get a real car - Evo VII (cheaper than equiv Scooby).

They seem to have made the game as easy or as hard as you like with the multi layered play - the licenses are easy to pass but bloody impossible to get gold !! IMHO the graphics are fantastic.

Trigger,

Did a similar thing myself...except I'm stuck with a stupid MX5 which is powerful, but has aweful handling. Can't afford to upgrade the handling. Can't win anymore as the competition is quicker than ever

Stuck in a rut....

I was getting equally frustrated, then started on the Japanese tournament (1st one on the Amateur level) - 5 races, 7500cr each (for first) plus 20,000cr if you win outright, and an STi Did that twice, had enough to buy the SLK and tune it to almost 400hp with suspension/brakes/lightening to match, and have now got the magical CLK DTM WOW!!

Stick with it - its worth it

LOL @ MX-5 drivers.

Ive got one too - best of a sad bunch. Wheres the second hand stuff!!!!!!

If you win 3 races - you get the car. If you re-win one of the races - can you get the car again??

Like the rest of you ive spec'd up a turbo and brakes and gearing and suspension!!

Great game. The suspension seems to make a real difference! But the tyres cost a fortune!!!!

The SLK?? a lot

55k on the car, almost 50k on engine mods, 30k on lightening it, 22k on slicks, 7k on suspension, 5k on better brakes - oh and 500cr on some better wheels .....but its worth it once you get the DTM CLK

Cool

Right ive all the licenses except Rally

Ive got a STI7 with 568BHP

Who said Scoobs were slow LOL

Ive got 215K in the bank along with some EVO thats got 385BHP I won and some other heaps of junk

If anyone else has this STI7 remember the 42.5K Turbo upgrade is I can also race with the Top Racers and still come in the top 3

What I want to know is how do I get more faster cars??? as im bored of this STI (Understeer City with Slicks)

There must be some cheats out there that allow you more money or better cars????

Right im off back to it now

Harj...

Harj, oh king of muppetdom.

Don't you read ?

Sheesh..

Get yerself a Mercedes SLK - mod it up

Enter the Silver Arrow Race Series (Amateur) and win that.

You'll get the Mercedes DTM car. Fapping fast.

BTW. If you're getting understeer, faff about with the suspension, try different settings. works wonders.

Oh, and make sure you have T5 tyres.

Cheats are for wimps.

SCOSaltire,

I have a thrustmaster/guillemot ferrari force feedback wheel with pedals that has USB connector and was bought for PC.

The wheel works fine with GT3 on PS2, haven't tried the pedals yet. I initially tested it just using the paddles to accelerate/decelerate. Need to get something set up so I can clamp my wheel to it first.

I can probably have a check tonight/tomorrow to see if the pedals work (although I don't know why they wouldn't) if you are interested?

Cool

Haven't had chance to try it yet, missus is about to watch eastenders

Forgot to try it earlier, but in the meantime, here's a cash tip.

I bought meself an Acura Integra Type R (american Honda), modded it up with a turbo and stuff, then entered the beginners type-R series. 5 races won at 5 grand a pop, plus 10 grand for completing the lot.....PLUS an Acura RSX worth 75,000 when selling it

Works out at about 110,000 per series (5 races). Not bad for about 20 mins work.

Hope that helps any of you cash strapped folk

Edit : Oh, and you can keep doing this over and over and keep getting the 75,000 prize car! I kept one just in case it was good

Cool

Just managed to sneak in before Eastenders

The pedals work fine

It'll look a bit sad sat in my armchair 'playing cars' though to passers by who walk past our window

Oh well, the price of fun

Just had a look on the bottom of the wheel and it is a Thrustmaster Force Feedback Racing Wheel USB. Was sold as Ferrari Force Feedback sometime in December 2000 for about 90 quid. Can't beat it for a dual wheel that works with PC and PS2 with or without the pedals

Would be interested to see how it compares with the Logitech official wheel though.

I've sold my soul to the devil! (well nearly)

having completed both gt1 and 2,gt3 was bought together with a ps2 on friday morning(day off ofcourse)by the way game will buy yer old ps1 for £20,and you can sell all decent platinum titles for £8,

anyway i got home and realised that unlike the previous games it will take ages to get some cash, cos in gt2 u could say for example do the sunday cup and win a car each time and flog it for 12000 credits, now u only get the car once and its worth peanuts.

to cut a long story short,i was in hmv on sunday, and saw a box called equalizer Xtreme,in the corner it read"includes bonus cheat disc for GT3"

i downloaded it and instantly had 999,999,999 credits and all the licences were done (all gold)

i've bought all the decent cars credits can buy,and used a lister storm race car for the sunday cup,(give em a 45 second head start!!)
and tuned a ruf 996 to 1015 bhp,i've got 420 kph out of it so far.

moral of the story is money can buy u some serious motas!!

Once you have a kick *** car you can enter the endurance races with the buttons taped down, go do something else for an hour and you'll get yourself a heap of cash and nice bonus cars.

...Apparently

I refuse flatly to cheat. How boring?

Managed to get clk touring car, and am working my way through now.

making money is no problem when you have big guns, you can win races at 20k a pop no problem.

Better than previous games in that you need nlots of different cars to do all the races.

Am on my way now.

Have a modded red makinen in honour of Cem, and a much less mod-able 22B for when I wanna race him.

What car do I need to win the rally stuff?
