Bajie,
Yeah but with the auto I can blow you away AND have a hand free for a scoobie snack. A manual's definity needed though, I'm getting fat....
Spence,
You both know where to strike where it hurts. Anyway about that 150mph rev limit of yours...
Keep to the wet twisty stuff to guarantee 1st place guys.

Don't they make Supra Snacks then?
Glad you have time for a Hand Shandy while you're driving though.
Yunus, a '98 Impreza WILL defeat a Porsche.
Don't know what model as he was behind me.
Invitations for the RSOC would be good for February, though it seems like some of our auto Supra drivers are playing with other pods while they drive ...

It would be interesting to see how a 4wd escort cossie compares to a 4wd scooby!

Why is it so difficult for you to believe a Scooby can beat a Porsche 911?
The 0-60 times are not that different are they? But you can say it was down to the driver if you want ...
I think you have real problems with Scoobies but don't know why.
And my windows do not go pop!

Dear All,
Just thought I would add my "two penneth" worth!
Yunus,
I was gonna say that you were definitely going to get a wake up call if you thought it was easy and just a matter of planting your foot down with a high powered rear wheel drive car, as it takes a hell of a lot of skill / experience to get the balance of wheel-spin / grip right to get a perfect launch; but then you said you had an auto -which takes just as much skill as a girlie 4wd car (i.e. zip)
However, you have kept me entertained the last hour or so with reading your comments (you reminded me so much of myself in my "younger" posting days! But I am with Branners on this subject - roll on the next track day where we can kick some butt(providing there aren't too many corners allegedly, so Snetterton should do nicely for a start... ).
However, I am mostly looking forward to Donnington and following Stef round for a few laps to learn the track before leaving him in the distance.....!
Hasta la vista girls, you'll ALL be kissing my a-R-S-e!
LOL
Mike
PS That includes you Nightmare - bring out that beast of yours so I can really claim me a scalp!

with pleasure mate, snetterton is quite a fast track with long straights! make sure you`ve taped up the rear quarters with cargo tape, we dont want them popping out now do we?
I know donington quite well, so shouldnt be a problem!
Just for those who get stressed, chill these comments are just light fun!;-)

Yunus,
Ask Stef, he's been in it in low boost in damp conditions....!
Put it this way it eats bikes 750cc and below... (once rolling of course). Standing quarter in 12.64s @ 115mph. 172mph top speed with only 385bhp at time before running out of room (verified in August's Revs, as it was the winner of the top speed shoot-out) - So, punk, do ya feel lucky!
LOL
Mike
PS Chrisp 450bhp is the aim by middle of this year with some SERIOUSLY trick technology behine it....

Is everyone still of the opinion we should try to match "like for like" at Santa Pod?
Just out of interest, if it takes so much skill to launch a RWD why did you buy an auto.
Same as buying diet coke if you ask me!
Mr Rainbird, any chance of going in your car if the diff stays alive?
Went in a 400 [allegedly] bhp cosworth once.
Scary. In a F**k me I like it kind of way.

I can honestly say that Mr Rainbowman's Cossie is awesome, but that doesn't mean I won't be attempting to add his motor to my list of 'Cossie Kills' on the track.
I have never been in a car with such ferocious mid-gear acceleration in my life, and I would hate to imagine it in the dry.
Still completely pants round bends though, just like the Supra!!!!
Stef.
