Hi Lord and Lady Harding (and Rusty)
I had a GREAT day today along with the family…we got lost and went into Lancaster so missed the start at the lay by (we arrived 10.38am). Never mind we took off on the route and caught up with what looked like a silver wagon WRX jap import with blacked out rear windows. I then met up with a few more at Crooklands service station (MY 02 WRX in blue seen in Carlisle, a bright red classic, a reddish blue classic, a green classic etc) and they left me for dead. I wasn't driving as I had been up until the wee small hours cleaning / waxing etc and my wife drove for safety.
Had a WHALE of a time apart from Kirkstone Pass where a bus coming the other way pushed us into the side. Scuffed tyres only but would guess others may have had more serious problems.
On to Pooley bridge…...couldn't park the car apart from a pay and display. Had lunch but waited long time. By now four and six year old getting fed up. Tried to park the car again but beaten to spaces by Stan Palmer STI (555 number plate) and a maroon MPV!!
Chatted to a few people as they left (cheers to AndrewC who thought I wasn't a pervert in the public loos). By now kids are getting very fed up, particularly as I won't let them eat ice cream in the car so we went home.
Waiting for the next one…….
Cheers

What can I say
I hope I at least said hello to you, though probably did not if I can't remember
Oh well, I shall just have to use this as yet another excuse to do it all over again

Hi Lordy
Sure was a late night, tried to download a picture of pride and joy to let people know I exist...difficult or what! Rusty managed to get it on show and is in the meetings section.
As I mentioned to Rusty can we go down the old roman road parallel to the A69 for stomach in mouth experiences...even happens in Picasso so should be X50 for scoobies

Hi Rusty, Lordy, The one you no etc,
Can we transfer this all over to "the raid over the border" to avoid posting in two sections?
does this make sense?
Midlife..
The kids want to buy me something for Christmas...how about a pink grille badge??? Tarty or what.

While the kids are asleep on 24th December I'll be in the garage with the Barbie pink nail varnish putting the finishing touches to the badge!
As an aside I travelled to Manchester recently and saw one (yes one) scooby. carlisle is swarming with them...anybody in Carlisle on Scoobynet please keep the faith (it's a Bon Jovi Thing)
