So? looking over this thread I would assume that Sparshatts will be going bust soon? unless, of course, they get their act into gear and start delivering Customer Care!! or has anyone got a decent word to say about them?
Pete
Oh, yes, nearly forgot - may I say thanks to the Moderators for allowing this thread to run, so often in the past these type threads have been closed down. Thanks on behalf of everyone who has posted!!

Robinsons of Rochdale get my vote for being utter plop.
I have only waited for them to write back to me for 3 months about why my exhaust fell off my car a couple of weeks after they put it on.
MTR, I am glad you say that John is the "Bike" service manager, because that goes someway into explain why Robinsons are so bad,(IMO)
And hasn't Darren now left?
I now use AJ White in Blackburn but we have yet to see.

Triangle of Chesterfield - took my car for a 'short road test' and gave NO feedback on specific servicing requests e.g. check this rattle out.
Monty's is far superior apart from the now legendary Justy.

AF Nobles in Penicuik, near Edinburgh (but still the only Subaru dealer in Edinburgh i believe) were always very good when dealing with my old MY00.
They also fit all the Prodrive stuff, I think. The guy there at the servicing when I went was a guy called Colin Noble - top bloke.

Bought my car from Simpsons of Swindon 2 years ago. No complaints at all. Sales guy was very good and their service staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended - and Rob Simpson's a nice guy as well.
Have moved nearer to Bristol now so Tileys is easier for me. Very impressed with their service side indeed. Their service manager and head mechanic and very knowledgeable about all the various mods that are out they and are always helpful, especially as I seem to be eternally destined to never actually book the car in but to just pitch up "on the off chance"! Done this several times with a couple of niggles and have always been sorted out with complaint or delay. Great stuff.
Currently dealing with sales side as I'm looking to move onto a P1. Van, the sales guy trying to get me to make a decision, is a nice guy - sort of salesman I like dealing with. Refreshingly free of bull541t and always accomodating, especially as I'm an inveterate and terminal tyre kicker in their showroom!
No really bad experiences with subaru dealers at all. Dealt with a couple of wide boys over the 'phone but can't remember who or where they were so never mind.
PS. Sales guy at Keith Price seems very good over the 'phone - will find out how good on Wednesday

Mainland (Widnes) so far have been spot on, very knowledgeable, very helpful, and they always have the time to listen to what your needs are!
Haywards Heath (Macclesfield) Why did i bother wasting my time typing the last! I think they only want green belt and hoo rah henry type customers who will hand over a suit case full of cash for a new motor, don`t bother going if your after a second hand Classic shape car or have a part-ex! If your too tall and want to be feel a bit smaller and looked down on then thats the place to go!

SGT Maidenhead - went in with express interest and money burning a hole in my pocket back in April 2000 to buy a new Turbo....After standing around for 5 mins, salesman eventually asked if I needed anything....I asked for availability of Turbo ....he said they had one on a boat somewhere and it would be available in July and he had 4 people interested in it..... Asked for a test drive....eventually got a 5 min round the block...asked not to rev it over 4000rpm etc....
Eventually got one the next week from Vale Motors in Wincanton (now in Yeovil) as they were close to my Inlaws....they were excellent for the sales side, never tried servicing there.
Servicing went to SGT (only cause it's local) - ok - never returned calls, no offer of courtesy car, when I did get a courtesy car it was a filthy, dirty Justy, with mucky seats, rubbish in the door bins and no petrol in it.
After that went to Lancaster Pangbourne for one service - were very good and gave me a nice Impreza courtesy car.
Moved to Yorkshire - went to dealer in Otley for one service - ok - nothing brill, no courtesy car.
Finally went to Pulleyns in York for last 2 services, excellent - quick, cheaper by miles - fixed costs.. etc Helpful.
Just my 2 pennies.

Thumbs up for Beechdale in Nottingham. Bought the car from them, been back for regular servicing, never had any problems so far. Only other place I've used is an independant specialist in Keyworth called TSL...some of may have heard of them?

Only ever used KT Green in Leeds and Cant fault them in the slightest... Let me walk around parts department / workshop getting what I want then decide how much... less my discount!
Ooops I owe them 100 quid as well.. Doh.

If you want a jap import wrx etc, then Town end garage in Carnforth, lancs will sort you out. No bullsh1t, no smarmy sales staff, just look at the motors, if youre interested, put up the funds and youre sorted!!! (just the old insurance to sort then, oh...as well as a tracker etc...)

Elmer,
Mill Lane are just to the West of Basingstoke.
They are on the B3400 at a tiny place called Newfound, so you can go up the A34 and East from Whitchurch, or up to Basingstoke on the M3 and then a bit of A30, through Kempshott and Buckskin and West along the B3400 (shorter).
Much nicer than driving to Botley.
