Relying on a university e-mail address is like relying on a companys e-mail address, you can not be sure you will be there all the time.
I tend to keep personal e-mails away from work/universtiy mail accounts for this very reason.

One final attempt at a useful suggestion. IMAP is a mail protocol. My money would be that if you download an IMAP client, install it, and point it at the address in that dropdown and use your username and password, you may find that you can pick up your mails on your home PC.
It looks like the Admins are playing with security (issuing their own SSL certificate, for example) so I guess they'll have firewalled IMAP?
I could be wrong, but this might be worth a try...

Strewth, sounds to me as though we're all offering solutions (even to a very basic level that me as a non techie can understand) adn you keep finding reasons to not do it!
1000 sheets of paper is 2 packets of paper that costs about, what, a tenner each? If they are that important to you, I'd say it was worth £20

Although Grottbags, some Younis give their inmates, sorry students, a printing budget which is topped up as per payg mobiles and hence it may not be as simple as loading up the printer with paper.
IIRC, my fiancee is charged 5p a sheet at Aberdeen Uni, so in this case our friend will end up with a £50 bill for printing out his "Very Important" email.

Miles, it is still yet another solution that has been offered.
If he's that hard up (and some students I know aren't) then we'll have a whip round for him.
I'll start off with 5 pence ;-)

At ten seconds per forward, you could forward them all one at a time in about three hours. You've already spent 1 1/2 hours looking for a solution...
Boring? Yes. But if they are as important as you say, your time is as limited as you say and you're unable to figure a way of automating HTTP requests, I'd get clicking...

If they are important then there should be a paper version, just in case they are lost. Stoopid_Si should ask the IT department, they're there to help illiterate ****witts. If he's nice to them, they could probably burn them onto a CD in a PC compatible format.

1000 emails ? You are joking right ? A years worth of totally, cannot live without emails ?
I've got about 26 emails I really can live without, and that is since my Outlook PST file was started about 3.5 years ago.
My only suggestion (but why I bother, as I'll be told it can't be done) is that your email looks to be web based ?
If so, maybe all your emails are available via HTTP along the lines of:
...
http://your.uni.mail.server/users/Simon/123456.html
http://your.uni.mail.server/users/Simon/123457.html
http://your.uni.mail.server/users/Simon/123458.html
http://your.uni.mail.server/users/Simon/123459.html
...
...
If so, you could probably use a tool like WebWhacker to grab all the HTML files which you could then ZIP up, or burn to CD etc.
Cheers
Ian

You have (from the screen-shot) a variety of emails that are absolutely no relevance to you now. If you have received your "order" then you should have a receipt, therefore no need to keep email unless there is a delivery charge dispute. Suggest that you go through your 400+ emails & delete those which are not needed anymore.
Secondly, select all ( <ctrl>A ) then forward puts all your emails in one big email & then sends it to the address of your choice. Hotmail may have limits, but Google or any other search engine will find a large number of free webmail type services which may have a greater allowed capacity than Hotmail.
Two simple solutions to aid your current problem

I promise no ones interested at all.
So, Si, I've found some chocolate Rich Tea biscuits with a funny looking coupon. Will that let me onto your course? Or does the offer only apply to Kitkats. If so I can go down to the shop. Let me know.
