Cool

MarkO...
Yeah?
maybe 'you' should understand the facts before releasing your 'oh so high and mighty opinion'...
Perhaps you should have given us the facts, then I'd have been able to understand 'em.
do me a favour and **** off...
Temper temper!
why dont you just read the post and have a laugh... without replying...
Why don't you take my response in the way it was intended, and laugh about it?
do you agree with anyone.... or are you just stuck so far up your own **** that you dont care...
Why should I agree with you? If you're going to post your personal life on here, then expect to have the p*ss taken. Just 'cos my opinion differs from yours doesn't mean I've got anything stuck up anywhere.

And, for the record, no I don't care. I was simply exhibiting the same level of consideration and compassion that you did after a certain incident a week or so back. If you have a problem with that, wander over to i-chat and we'll have some verbal fisticuffs. If not, lighten up and learn to laugh at yourself.

I don't think there is any correct answer to the question "right alcohol".

I have found that the right tipple varies from situation to situation.

My personal recommendation is to start with a few pints of ale, nothing too gasy, there's a long way to go. Then move onto the spirits, thereby allowing high rates of ingestion, but not sacrificing the flavour, Southern Comfort and ice would be good here.

Buy some cigars at this point possibly, not for me I might add, but pays to get them while you can still walk.

To mellow out, might I suggest some port, 1 bottle ought to do the trick, accompanies with come crisps to keep the flavour balanced.

I have been there, and done that, I think Becks (too gasey really) following by 16 whiskeys worked well. Followed by a cheesburger apparently, although this it still to be confirmed.

I was 22 as well at the time, how strange.

Fear not, all is no lost, I have since shagged said girl, and been dumped by her, so why not save yourself the hassle (and more alcohol, although SC was perfect here) and put it down to experience.

Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I agree - it's always been a **** programme and I can't believe they pay the hapless American f11ckwits so much to be in it.

You gotta admit that The One Where Chandler Can't Remember Which Sister is ******* hilarious. But I agree that the last series was crap.

I guess your 'mate' assumed that if you hadn't made your move in two years, you weren't likely to so she was fair game.

Looks like she's taken you for a bit of a mug, mate. Letting you shell out for a holiday for her and then ******** your mate.

Bad luck pal.

Lesson learnt, now get over it and move on.

Plenty more fish in the sea - get your tackle out and see what bites.

I'm in a VERY similar situation. My now EX girlfriend fell for my now EX mate. I'd been living with my girlfriend for about 2 years. She moved in with me from New York. We were in the process of breaking up, but she met him and fell in love with him

Problem is he knows exactly how I felt for her, so much for falling back on your mates when you break up with someone. This is a mate that I've known since I was 12 (now 30) and was my regular drinking mate.

Haven't spoken to him for 2 months, and the last time we spoke it was basically a **** off you ****.

Less than amused. Worse still is that this guy shares a hillclimb car with my brother and we call compete together at events. Or rather we used to compete.

Basically the whole experience has put me on Prozac. I went to the doctor with a combination of furious rage/anger and depression. I'm not a violent bloke, but I came soooooo close to swinging for him... so close that I just had to walk away and screeched away lefting 2 very black lines showing my frustration.

Exclamation

Don't mean to sound funny, but so what? Let's be honest, if the situation was reversed, would you walk away from a girl who liked you, you liked, and your mate had just split up with?

It's all very well saying you'd walk away because she used to be involved with a mate of yours, but it's not always that simple.

Loads more fish in the sea, etc, etc, meaningless cliche, etc.

I'm not a violent person either but when my 'friend' answered the door at my ex gf house, when I was returning her **** I saw red and smacked him in the face with an electric fire.. Broke his nose and two lovely black eyes...

He knew he was in the wrong as he told his parents he did it playing rugby..

What makes me really angry is that she STILL actually lives with me at the moment.

She's over in New York at the moment as she's moved most of her stuff back over to her Mums. When she comes back over I must remember to take my Credit Card back off her.

And transfer the car back over into my name !

I caught her snogging my mate (when we were still going out) at MY fooking 30th birthday bash

Now that did make me really angry, put foot through door and neighbours had to calm me down.

Now you know why we don't speak any more.... the b@st@rd spends more time at my parents working on their hillclimb car than I do at my parents ~ although that could change real soon....

Parents cook him tea etc, cos "he's a mate of the family" although that could change quite soon

As to kicking her out... its in progress, but its kinda hard to do as we've been through so much together. I held on to her as we watched her dad die on Independance Day last year in New York.

Her dad asked me to look after his little girl, and I had been up until recently it had been going well....

Mates ex-girlfriends or possible future girlfriends (and obviously current girlfriends) are absolutely totally off-limits.

Mates e-girlfriends may be persued after a reasonable amount of time (5 years) with permission of the mate.

Any man breaking these rules deserves to have his ***** removed.

IMHO, of course

Bang out of order. It's one thing hooking up with an ex after you've already split, but it's quite another getting together whilst you're still a couple.

So do you think he still deserves to be a mate or not ?

My feeling is **** off and die you ****....
My Mum went spare and he's likely to get a door slammed in his face tomorrow by my mother when he comes to pick up the hillclimb car from their garage...

Actually I hope my Mum slams the door in his face...She'll probably just make a cuppa tea and stay out the way

I think the girl's the guiltier party in this, and hence you're best off without her. He's welcome to her.

Just forget about it, move on and find somebody new and nicer. Get yer sharkin' trousers on and get out there.

If she wants to go after some other bloke, she's going to do it, and there's nowt you can do about it.

It's happened to me, and it hurts like hell at the time, but wouldn't you rather have it happen now than when you've bought a house together, got married, had kids ......

Chalk it up to experience, cut them both out of your life, move on.

In the interests of fairness, I'll admit to doing the dirty as well. Not a close mate, but I knew a bloke, knew he was seeing a girl, moved in on her anyway. Things progressed, and we've been married 9 years. God knows what she saw in me, but what was I supposed to do, tell her I didn't fancy her, and she had to carry on going out with some bloke who she wasn't that interested in?

Yeah time to cut and run. Think you're right.

Oh yeah this time no bloody credit card. Still £2500 left to pay off (and I don't use the bloody thing !!)

She had the f*ing cheek to use it for a train ticket down to see him... Now thats bold, I'll give her that, and looking at the bill she paid for dinner at a restaurant....

Now who looks bloody stupid ? Doh

Sadly the Blackscooby is no more. Infact she was one of the reasons it got sold... oh yeah and it ran 1.6bar boost on UK engine, kept blowing the TD05 to bits. Did 17MPG (SUL only) and 350 miles per week. Hardly practical.

trusting ? I know where that gets you now. Never again.

At least I've still got my house, and its her who'se having to up and leave her nice cushie life in Cheshire....back to Long Island, NY.
