Not really on the subject, but speaking of footballers, i have twice almost been collected by a "snakeing" Ian Harte, once in an M3 and once in his Porsche as he was pulling out of his drive! Always go steady down that road, just incase the muffin does actually lose it one day!

Three comments I couldn't resist:
wall - "Earth to fellow scoobynetters" - LOL. It's needed here occasionally! You've been on S/N long enough to know about JF's motor though
johnfelstead - shouldn't you be posting such replies in Other Marques? . Seriously, didn't know you had such power at high speed, I guessed it was lower down. Have you heard any more from the guy rebuilding it?

I was unable to shake of my wife in our Evo when I was driving a F355 that we hired for our wedding

yep, it used to be very quick above 100MPH. I dropped the gearing as when i bought it, the top speed was 175MPH, above 165MPH it got very scary as the front would start to take off.
I geared the car for 155MPH and it used to get there in 17.5 seconds, that is pretty quick for a car, what most seven type drivers find hard to get into their thick skulls is that above 100MPH, power/weight isnt that important, it's power/drag, i had the lot of them hammered on that front with 330Lb/ft of torque and 330BHP to the R500 which has half that torque. Mine was only matched above 100MPH by a 5 litre Tuscan race engined sieght, below 100MPH it was more a power/weight battle and the R500 was about the same performance.
The rebuild of the car is coming along nicely, he is changing a few things during the build too, making improvements to the design i would have done. I am helping with advice on occasion. The car should be faster on track than it was based on the changes, especially on the chargecooling. I cant wait for it to be completed so i can go for a spin in the car again.
Hopefully the Atom should be ready by mid November, that should be even quicker with better aerodynamics and almost the same amount of power, yet 200Kg lighter.
