No temper tantrums from me. Don't know why you think that, and as for the abuse, I think you said that pro hunters look at anti hunt people as childish. I am still waiting for your explanation as to why we are childish.
As for my comments about abuse to people, that was from research carried out into people who abuse animals. Not my own personal findings.
You are an arrogant tw@t that thinks he can do whatever he wants and no one is allowed to say what you are doing is wrong. Like I said earlier, you are the childish one by having such a poor understanding of what society thinks is right and wrong.

Plenty of blood and guts, but the cow is dead before its processed.
And that's without even encroaching on the kosher methods of slaughtering animals, where pigs, cows & sheep are bled to death over a period of minutes.

Skipjack, keep it coming, you're comments and attitude are simply slaughtering the very arguments of the pro hunting posts that have gone before...
You'd be funny if you weren't so sad.......
Scotland is a better place without people of your views....

Well said Puff, I run a country side management company, and my biggets problem is mis informed Tw*ats ranting and raving about stuff they know nothing about.
Sure a load of ""toffs"" going about on horses may not be your cup of tea, thats fair enough. But get to know all the facts first.
Contact me via email and I will send you pictures of what foxes do to small calves and piglets. If the ""toffs"" don't hunt them, the farmer will end up sending his son out with an underpowered airgun to do the job, resulting in 1,000's of injured foxes.
If you do not live in the country, try not to pretend you know how it all works!!!!!

Ok, was not taking account the Kosher methods, but they should be banned as well.
We should use a more humane way to kill cows as well...but we don't do that for fun....

And of course small calves and piglets are indigenous wildlife to the uk.(before farming and foxes, that is)
Not an argument for a cruel death mate...
We have already heard that hunting is inneficient and only 2 in 10 hunts get a kill...
By all means kill the foxes, just do it in a humane way.....

i don't necessarily think you're childish but some people would. the two sides just don't like each other and are diametrically opposed.
no tempers? why the scowly face then? calm down.

The fox doesn't need appeasing. It's an animal, and like the vast majority of them, doesn't know it will ever die.
But now you come to mention it, do you know that for a fact? Animals face death all around them. I wouldn't be so sure that they are not "aware" of their own mortality.

What is it with all this 'townie' b0llocks? What is it that we don't know anything about. Descibe 'townie' to me please as I would like to know what is and isnt a townie, or is it as simple as if you dont live or work on a farm you are a townie? I work in London, live in Kent and have lived in a village in the middle of the countryside so what part makes me a townie?
There is nothing difficult to understand here, running a fox down with hounds for upto an hour or more, catching it and ripping it to pieces is nothing but barbaric. What is it that I am not understanding about that? It is done for fun and that is it, no other reason.
Tell me this secret squirrel stuff that all us anti hunt people seem not to know!

...gotta agree with Mr NeVeTaS there.
If we just sit back about these things, this will become a controlled state.
I like driving, I like driving how I want.
I like shooting/hunting, I like doing it legally how I want.
I do not want to be controlled by the unconcerned, unaffected idiots.
...just wanted to have my say....

I've got an idea - why not dress up a pro-hunt voter and let him participate in a drag-hunt?
I'd like to see them flee across 15 miles of farmland being persued by a pack of dogs and a bunch of suited-and-booted toffs![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
now that's what I call a sport!

Ah bugger, they've found us out. We are all in-bred saddo's with no life and chips on our shoulders about progress hiding behind the "countryside ways" screen

What I don't understand is why when having a foxless hunt, the bloke being chased has to wear a dodgy wig, excessive mascara, a spangly dress and 4-inch high heels?

Personally I think it would be fun to pick off huntsmen and women with high velocity rifles, but that's not yet socially acceptable.

Interesting views and opinions on both sides. I'll keep my views on fox hunting to myself and remain happily sat here on my fence
However, I reckon a lot of the arguments are very emotive because foxes are generally viewed as soft and cuddly (irrespective of their natural instinct and behaviour) and people shouldn't kill soft and cuddly things in the pursuit of personal pleasure. It's like killing Basil Brush, FFS! ![EEK!](images/smilies/eek.gif)
*Devil's Advocate hat on*
So, how does anyone salve their conscience at the number of insects (not generally soft and cuddly) that they splatter on the front of their Imprezas whilst in the pursuit of the personal pleasure of driving fast? Insects are lifeforms with as much right to live as foxes, fish, cats, dogs, cows or us. So, are you all going to park up your cars and walk for the rest of your lives? Or will we now move the arguments towards survival of the fittest, natural selection, top of the food chain, etc.?
*Hat removed*
Over to you ....![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)

admittedly "townie" is a generalised term but it's fun to use because it gets people lovely and ... riled.
if you want a definition, i'd say it was someone who takes a view of country life not based on clear understanding or full experience.
but only you can judge if you qualify.

There's a big difference between accidentally killing a fox/rabbit/whatever, and intentionally going out to run the bugger down and tear it apart.

Simple,
hit a fox at 80mph with a hard metal object. It will be dead in seconds and not feel a thing.
Or you could hold said insect in a glass jar until exhausted and then slowly pull it to pieces until it died.
No comparison for this debate....
Its not about cuddly, its about cruelty
