Blimey - just read that Porsche guys site - what a nightmare
I used to use the valet parking at Heathrow a lot in my former job - I was then still driving around in a 306S16 - so I wasn't too bothered to be honest. I never had any problems and the car was always there waiting when I returned.
Since having the Scoobs, I couldn't quite bring myself to leave it with someone else and give them the keys. Visions of the car being blasted around the perimeter of Heathrow, burning clutches and no cooling down time for the turbo made me think otherwise - call me paranoid, but I worked hard to afford my cars and I didn't want it ruined by 'Johnny no stars' and his mates while they parked my car.
So I haven't used it since and I don't think I will in the future either. If I was that guy with the rare Porsche, I don't think I would have left it there in the first place, but I guess hindsight is a wonderful thing.

With the greatest respect, these guys drive much better cars than the humble Impreza everyday, assuming you drive one of course.
How do you think the guy with a 996 Turbo or better feels when he goes on his hols??

I fly out of Heathrow alot on business and I always park the scoob in the Parking Express carpark near Terminal 4. Never had any problems, just park the car in the best parking spot and then hop on the bus, at the end of the day it's only a car.

Martin - its all relative to what you can afford. The guy with a 996 probably values it is much as we do.
As for mercs etc, they are 2 a penny and don't attract near as much attention. The scoob is one of those cars everyone knows about and points "look there's one of those" so mr *** end in a car park may be tempted to have a grand prix race with his mate in an evo, 1am, round the car park Ok maybe not.

One or the other of our STi7's spends 12 hours every day Monday to Friday parked at Stansted airport - it's not a big deal.......if you aren't paranoid...
