I wanted to get W4NXA for my legacy B4 but the wife said no way. Its still available if anyone wants it. For some reason the the DVLA will not be issuing W4NKA or W4NKR.
I still think its a cracking plate - every time I overtake someone and they give me the tosser sign I could just point at the plate in response. (Happens quite a lot - amazing how many people seem to think overtaking is a crime these days).

Know a guy in Scotland who spent years chasing his initials. He's a computer games designer so money wasn’t the issue. He got there in the end and now has DJ1 on his S class. How many local and national radio posers must have been in the fight for that one??!!

250 GTO is owned by Nick Mason of Pink Floyd fame. Paul Daniels does indeed have MAG 1C, and rumour has it that Elton John has MUS 1C.
There is a hotel near me that has a vintage truck they use to ferry clients about, and the plate on that is BBC1, priceless or what, and there is also an asian guy in the town where I live that has a Jag XKR and the plate is S1 NGH. That was on Top Gear a few weeks ago and went for £70,000.00

Quite some time ago now, but...
SAA 13 on Saab convertable
TUR 130 on a 911 Turbo
XJ 5 on (yes that's right) an XJS
and
SHA100W on ... A van belonging to shadow bikes (although I am sure it had been on Rolls at one ponit)
Most of these were around the Bracknell area at the time.
Neil.

Sorta to do with this. ST 1 was first issued to a friend of mines grandfather in Jan 1904 in Inverness. He was a doctor and owned the first 2 cars to be registered in the county. Both cars were Arrol-Johnstons built in Glasgow. The number was subsequently used on Simon Templars (The Saint) Volvo in the TV series of the same name.
The family still own the registration number ST 3.
Bit of trivia really, but I thought somebody might be interested.
Cheers

Nick Mason's daughter or wife once turned up at Brands Hatch in some nondescript car ( can't remember it anyway ) with P1NKF.
He is one lucky fellow as his wife likes racing as do his daughter(s) and what a collection of cars.
