Cheap P1 For Sale.

Oliver - you're asking a fair price for a good car. Ignore the crap you get in this place
Personally I wouldn't really bother trying to sell a car on here - bits and pieces yes but a car, no. Too many "experts" and price-knockers
Stick with it - you'll get the price you want for it.
PS. loddrick - what a bizarre thing to say...

18me - It stands for 'back to the top' and (I'm guessing) 'to the very top' (??)
What is loddrik's problem ?? Oliver wants to sell his car, not have a debate about why some people price theirs too cheap ! If you're interested - make an offer, if not, leave him in peace to sell his car !
I agree with simonh - this generally isn't a great place to sell complete cars (unless you want a quick cheap sale). Most people have got their scooby by the time they discover scoobynet. It's a slow time for selling, so hang in there and enjoy the car while you still have it After all, it's the best looking impreza ever made (imho)
Bearing that in mind, some piccies might help the sale along too...
Best of luck !

Oliver...as everyone is saying...stick with it....true this isnt the best place to sell Scoobs sometimes, but I sold my P1 today to the nicest person I could have hoped to find as *my babies* new owner!
The advantage of selling to someone off SN is that at least you have a chance of getting a buyer who understands what they are buying, and has a vested interest in looking after their new purchase....it broke my heart to part with my car today, but at least I know she's being driven around by someone who loves her as much as I did!
Thanks Steve for making the transition a bit easier x

Hello...
Just got a couple of q`s if someone would be kind enough to answer them for me.
I`m in the process of buying my first Scoob and from what i`ve been told the P1 is the only option for me...Responding to something I read earlier in here, apparently P1`s are set to drop in price in the near future...what distance in the future are we talking?? Secondly, if P1`s are such prized posessions and there are only limited numbers, why are they so easily available??
Cheers

Anything, not just a car or the P1 specifically, is only worth what somone is willing to pay for it. If I wanted to Pay £50k for one then that's how much it's worth (to me!)
Prices have dipped a little (apparently, I'm no expert ) because of the simple laws of supply and demand. There are currently more available for sale than people wanting to buy them
See - I did pay attention in economics class

Lol - what all this "prices are about to drop" sh1te that's been thrown about at the moment??
They're not "about to drop" anymore than used car prices drop normally with the passage of time (unless someone's discovered an airfield somewhere with 500 unregistered P1s sitting on it and is about to flog them off at £50 each )
Not sure where you got it from but there was an individual on this board posting the same sort of dribble in an attempt (it seemed) to talk prices down so he could get one cheap

I agree, the P1 has had the worst of the depreciation by now what with the STi7/8 already out and they're not as 'focused' as the P1 anyway.
IMHO the P1 will slow on it's value loss and cherished one's may become Escort cossworth-ised and maybe even rise.

stevepurbs: go for a RB5 prodrive version, its down about 40-50bhp on the P1 but u will have a much more exclusive car (approx 150 of these were done from factory) and for a low milage one u can expect to pay around £15k - £19k which is a big saving on the P1 asking prices.
then u got all that spare money to get a nice loud exhaust etc etc

The car is cheap. I already think P1's are falling to fast in price. They're amazing cars and cost 30k + new. Instead of evrtyone trying to get it for £50 how about promoting the car. You get what you pay for, pay £26 and you should get a nearly new minter, pay £17 and get a dog. We all what the best price for our own car, Keep Scoob prices high.

Exactly. I've had one a couple of weeks, think it's bloody marvellous and would recommend that anyone in a position to buy one does so. Oliver's car is at a very good price etc etc.
PS. I still think you should sell me your HIDs, Oliver.

Oliver,
Stick with it mate, I bought my first P1 about a month ago (my first scooby ever) have wanted a P1 since they were new but insurance companys tried there hand at comedy and I couldn't afford it (insurance still good fun at 21!)
Mines an 'X' plate and had 6400miles on it when I picked it up. The car is completely standard and in as new condition, I paid £24,995 from a Subaru main dealer.
Have a friend who is looking for a P1 in the next couple of weeks, will pass the details to him-you never know.
