Yeah. Shazam. The same Shazam I mentioned in my first post in this thread, a couple of days ago. Or, in other words, read the bloody thread, or STFW. Nobody's suggesting for a minute that there is. However, if you read what it says on Shazam's website, you'll see that the way they make there money is from the call costs - although you don't pay a penny if they don't actually manage to successfully identify the track.

Yes Shazam, indeed.

I used to work for music choice (part of Sky TV - chan 481) and Shazam used our music library / databases etc and rack space for servers to develop this product.

Im slightly amazed its actually hit the bigtime so to speak.

btw seeing as they used our databases - it should pick nearly everything up from classics, folk, pop, dance, ambient, rock .........and on. no it aint a scam!
