Uncle buck don't be a plum m8! U reckon we want the places we like going to to be a complete dump with no wildlife??? We go to these places because they are tranquil, have wildlife and are places without litter and noise. Me and my mates take bin liners with us and place all rubbish in those and then take the rubbish with us to dispose of at home. The majority of people do this and if we catch little ******* not doing the same and littering then they get put in their place by us and other anglers.
The whole point is to get away from the sh!tholes that are towns and cities and even villages to some extent and get out into the middle of nowhere where we can relax. Not so we can go and ruin the one place we want to spend as much time as possible
Maybe u should try it one day, even if u don't fish, go with someone who does and try chiiling out in the middle of nowhere with a few beers and just chatting with no disruption or distractions.
Until I find some Swedish 6ft blonde with the perfect figure who is a nymphomaniac and excellent at massages then fishing will have to do me for great relaxation

Uncle Buck,
Dont start this into a ANTI Fishing thread,WE all had enough of it the last time!!!Leave it to the fishermen to discuss their hobbie and not turn it into a slagging match on the pros and cons of fishing.
Yes guys i do the odd bit of carping,i havnt been for a while,as im still trying to convince my girlfriend to come with me!!!!
My best catch was a 10lb Bream and a 20lb carp in one session.
Theres not many decent places up'th North they all seem to be down south where the monsters live.
I would love to go to France on one of those huge lakes or the rivers where "Ton Up"bags are possible

ok, my final word...
I'm pi$$ed off because a local swan on the canal died recently from fishing line injuries, leaving her mate to raise thier signets single handedly. As you may know swans mate for life and they have been there for years so it's all very sad and unnecessary.
I know responsible anglers don't allow this sort of thing to happen but they sadly seem to be in the minority around my way.

Buck thats not good and not the general concencus of anglers to let that happen, a mate of mine once got entangled with a swan and the first thing we did was to call the RSPCB and get someone down there to get the swan sorted asap. Unfortunately it does happen but if you act responsibly then swans, ducks and geese etc wont get in severe trouble if you get the RSPCB involved straight away.
This only happens when they dive down and pick up the bait from the bottom of the lake or swim across the line. Luckily I would say its not that common.
