Best traffic light GPs are when you are in the left lane and something rolls up on the right reving its engine/blipping throttle. You look accross, blip your throttle, he/she blips his/hers the lights go green and ................

you turn left

Jason, i think you've missed the point.

Just pointing out that some tw@ts watch a film and then think that they are the fastest thing on the road
You're pretty hypocritical there. You infer that cos he drives an MR2 & thinks it quick, that he's a tw@t. You drive an impreza and think it's quick.

Incorrect.........again.

I was pointing out that he was reving the sh1te out of his car and was blatently wanting a race.

Now, if I had a MR2 I would not want to take on ANY scooby unless I had done some serious modding. This makes him a tw@t by definition. He thought (Foolishly) that his car could beat a scooby.

I have actually performed a public service by showing him the error of his ways. He will no longer bother scooby drivers.

I know it's not big or clever and I also am aware that there are plenty of other cars that would make me look silly. I just don't go looking for them.

Let's not make a mountain out of a mole hill. It was just a casual posting regarding an incident that happened to me this weekend. Just look at it as that and not a major debate. As mentioned in an earlier reply...there are better issues to discuss.

well i've got a bog standard mr2 & my mates driving a year old wrx - we regularily have 'a little fun' on the country roads around epping way & there's never anything in it - he always pulls away on the long straights & I catch him up & give him grief on the twisties. - & i've caught him napping on the lights a few times too - in ****e conditions though its his game - but hey I can take the roof off in the summer

LOL @ jasey........quality.

Graham......no offence, but 2 wheel drive v 4 wheel drive! Is it a UK wrx? If so there is quite a bit of difference between it and an imported on.

<Gets ready for a kicking>

He said year old and the fact he's there or there abouts suggests its a bugeye. If it was an imported wrx V a standard (non-turbo) mr2 then my gran could lose it in the bends

Whats wrong with having a little brag if you beat someone who thought they could beat you, and wanted to race?

Its not like he came on here and said he can beat every MR2, or that he could beat a heavily modified MR2, or even that all MR2's are cr*p, so why are these MR2 drivers popping up and going "boo hoo, Ive stayed with my mates Scooby", bully for you, and that one about "if it had been a turbo blah blah blah", it wasnt, see, he never said he beat that MR2, so therefore he can beat a turbo, did he? no, so maybe give some kudo's and take the post in the way its meant to be taken.

I've said enough re this thread and echo mostly all of the opinions made on it in one way or another but the main point is that these threads are turning scoobynet into a bit of a joke and owners of other marques are undoubdetly looking at these and saying "what a sad bunch of to55ers" subaru owners are

Can we really blame them when....

The usual thread goes a bit like this....

1)I whipped a space shuttle from 0-60mph, away from the lights outside the local primary school when the kids were crossing the road.

then the reply of

2) That's bad, you should be hung, drawn and quartered (normally from Mr Righteous)

or

3) That's great, you showed em, that's what makes scoobs so cool (normally from pre-pubescent school kids on their holidays)

4) The poster realises he's been an a55hole and defends along the lines of <but I don't normally drive like that>

and on and on and on and on and on and on

No offence to JasonWRXowner, just a more general comment re these types of threads.

And let me anticipate the next reply...

But it's a free site, if you don't like it you don't need to read or reply to it....

I know, but it's a free site and I'm just making a point cos I'm righteous and still on my school holidays.

Now when's this voice of mine going to break?

jasonwrxowner,

Is that right, he turned left at the lights, as you burned another gallon of optimax trying to impress his bird.
Who, by the way is probably with him because he has a big dick and not some 4wd **** substitute.
hahah thats what i heard anyway.

The BMW mob come out to play.

Horse & Chicken

A horse and a chicken are playing in a meadow. Suddenly, the Horse falls into a mud hole and starts to sink.
The horse yells at the Chicken to go and get the farmer to help
pull him out to safety.
The chicken runs to the farm but the farmer can't be found. So, the chicken gets into the farmer's BMW and drives it as fast as possible back to the mud hole.
Wasting no time, the chicken ties a rope around the bumper, and
then tosses the other end of the rope to the horse.
As the horse hangs on for dear life, the chicken drives the car
forward, and saves the horse from sinking.
A few days later, the chicken and horse are playing in the
meadow again. This time, the chicken falls into the mud hole. The chicken yells to the horse to hurry and get the farmer, or the farmer's BMW
So, he stretches over the width of the hole and says to the chicken,
"Reach up and grab my dick and pull yourself up!"
The chicken did so, and pulled herself up to safety.

The Moral of the Story:
If you are hung like a horse, you don't need a BMW to pick up chicks.

i have a black mr2 and stopped next to a scoob at some lights yesterday!

i had the windows down and was revving the engine. i think the exhaust is blowing so was revving the engine to see if it was.

anyhow this *** in a scoob blats off the lights as soon as they changed amber and disappeared in a puff of black smoke.

don't think he saw the 2 coppers making notes on the other side of the road opposite the lights tho.
