I reckon most retailers are making 30 to 50% on any high value product, I think the retail price on the Geodesy is £380, so Networx must be able to do it for as little as £290 and still be making profit. How about it, let's have a really good deal, I'm sure the volume will cover the lower profit.

Plug,
As a retailer myself, your having a laugh. Most of my core line products i am making gross profit of between 10% and 15% so dont surmise if ya dont know what you are talking about

Got it and it's great, gave them a call to reduce the alert distance down to half a mile as the lights never went off in my town, plugged the thing into the phone line and all's good. Great product and service so far.

Nozzer, whilst I sympathise that you may only be making 10-15% on your products, it seems to have escaped your attention that Networx have already lopped off around 16% from the RRP, are RRPs still legal, or does this amount to price fixing. For those that where unhappy with there original price, something you may not be aware of is that with mail order you can send the goods back within 7 days for a refund with no reason given.

No Networx, don’t drop your prices anymore. I paid the 340 and think that’s good value for money, so 320 is just a great deal. Mind you even if you do drop lower I will not complain. I am happy with what I have, thank you for the great deal.
It’s the ones with the money that complain about the price.

Plug,
RRP's are only really there for a guide and for people to haggle off. Price fixing is illegal if the manufacturers stipulate what price to sell at.
Get of the case of Networx, they are only COMPETING, they are a business and not a charity!

Red face

Bob-If (and is only an 'if') the unit is available to another BBS (TVR?) at £295 I feel it's perfectly justifiable to seek a similar price to get the best deal. You bought at £340 and you are happy with that. That's fine but if I can buy one at the £295/£300 level then that's what I, and others I suspect, will want to do.
Networx..over to you..

Nozzer, you seem to be taking this rather personally, chill out and let free speech and free market prevail, check the messages, I am not the only one looking for a good deal. OK.

Good choice, when I ordered some brake disks they took 6 weeks to eventually send me the wrong size, then refused to refund me until I sent them back, and refused to collect them on a weekend forcing me to actually take time off work to be able to get my money back for their mistake!!

Never had such amateurish treatment before, and I'm certainly not trying them again.

Without wishing to malign them, DT were promising delivery dates and not meeting them and then saying:

we don't know how much stock we're getting
we don't know when we are getting it
we won't tell you where you are on the list
You can wait but we can't tell you how long
You can cancel your order if you like

I can't be bothered with it.
