Pr1ck attacked my Dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your dog is trained and your are a responsible owner then there is no harm what so ever in letting it off the lead. You cannot stereotype large breeds, saying they are all viscious dominant dogs, the general development of a dog lies in the hands of the owner. I have been bitten about 8 times by dogs and only one of those was a large breed.

But what about my tiger? Was the young man justified in hitting him with a maglite? Based on most of the opinions on here no he wasn't, unless someone would like to point out the error in my thinking. But what would you have done, tickled his tummy?

Ok Tiggs so the bloke has a fear of dogs smaller than his own, as an Akita is a larger dog than most GS's??? So on that basis if a puppy ran upto him he would be entitled to brain it one as it is smaller than his dog?
This bloke was looking for an excuse to use his big stick on something which is all he could be carrying it for. U don't own and walk an Akita if you have problems walking unassisted

Thankfully my dog is alright, small cut. I don't know what he will do next time he sees a walking stick though.
Two weeks ago he went to the vets for an ear infection and when they weighed him he was 59kg, so whatever that is in real money.
Diablo thanks for the support, I will get him looked at by my famous vet, Fiona from vets in practice!
I still don't understand the problem with the bush, as I threw him he was still lashing out. It's not like I just lobbed him for the sake of it, i did it to stop him hitting my boy.
Did the guy really think that a bloke walking a small baby with a dog is going to have a vicious dog, if I had any reservations, although I'm obviously always aware, that he would hurt an innocent I would have got rid of him.
As for being 4ft with a small d1ck we will have to meet at the next organised venue and compare both sizes, I think you will probably realise that statement is complete bollox.
I'll keep you updated with what plod say.

not in this case, the GSD attacked the akita when the akita had done nothing wrong.
How can you say that? Dogs don't reason like humans, it was probably as a self-defence act! Already being attacked by man with stick - so what's to say the Akita with him wasn't going to attack him too?

so this dog cant reason but he can tell the difference between the dog owned by the old man and the passing child? or was he just lashing out at the nearest thing? sounds viscious to me.

Tiggs where did you get that from?
Of course the Akita attacked, if my dog thought I was being threatened he would of attacked, in the war of the dogs I have to say that they were both as tough as one another, I should know I had one in each hand.
He is a bigger lad than most, but size isn't everything> To me he's the perfect dog. He protects the House and car at home and I have no reservation about letting him off outside cause I know he's alright off the lead. I am no slag, if I thought he would attack another dog I would not let him off!
