Besides Subaru who uses full time AWD?

Subaru did do 2wd a while back and may still do so.
Citroen dis a 4cv. 2cv with and engine at both ends. Good for North Africa.
I built a Triumph Spitfire and used a dolomite box in the front and tapped off the bach of the gearbox (blanked off for FWD, open for RWD) keeping the original rear diff. Made for an interesting 4wd. 50/50 split. Why? I was young and had loads of time on my hands and it cost practically nothing. A nice prelude to the Spitfire fitted with a 350ci V8. Celica box with Torana running gear. Far too much time I say. Could post a pic if anyone really wants to see it.

Here you go Mr Manchester. Engine bay shot of Triumph Spitfire with the original 1300cc 4 cylinder out and the 350ci V8 shoehorned in. Toyota Celica 5 spd box with Holden Torana brakes and diff. Yes, it was quick and the handling wasn't all bad.
