How much boost can the turbo take?

You might be able to but I don't know anyone who has had to. I just saw a chap today with two of the most powerful charades in the UK. One runs a Motec ECU and is mapped to run 250bhp on standard internals !! Its not very road driveable like that so its been remapped down to 185bhp !

His other car run an Omex ECU for around 225bhp !

Standard turbo can boost upto 20psi but thermal efficiency drops right off. I think its efficient upto about 16 psi. Could be wrong here though.

I think I'm going to have trouble finding a cheap car for you Christian. A mate of mine is selling one of his and its mechanically great but bodywork might need sorting and thats going to be £1000-£1500. Values on these seem to fluctuate depending on how many are for sale at any one time.

Would be interested in seeing what he did to get 250bhp, sounds ideal for my sprint/hill climb car

drop me an email with the details, but i think that is too much out of my budget.

I think the traction is bad enough without noS but it would certainly be funny to try that. Might trash a few piston rings and head gaskets though.
