not too sure about books or that for doing the weathered look, it just a matter of trial really.

u just need some pastels, dark, medium and light brown ones, only a quid each or so and using a knife scrape on the pastels to make a loada pastel dust into a small pot.

dab the brush into the thinners the with kitchen roll squeeze the brush tip so its fairly dry, dab into the dust and dry brush on the model.


It really helps if u have pictures of the car to refer to if u just starting off to get idea of how it should go.

I have loads of the rallycourse books and pirrelli books which have the most superb pictures in by Richard Klein.

also thinning down black enamel paint on the brush and running along grooves etc just gives it a washed / dirty look adding tio the effect.


it all comes with practice mopre then anything, all myu first models looked crap.
