Simon asked nicely not to use the letters for the reasons he stated so I've edited your post rather than remove it, so you can still claim the corner though.

Cool

That's okay, you can get the same effect on the bandwidth by going to a page onto which lots of moderators have replied, and repeatedly hitting CTRL-F5.

If you've read any of my posts in the last 6 months you'll know exactly how bored I am.

Cool

And besides, as any of the really old school scoobynetters will remember, I've never had any qualms about stretching the bandwidth requirements of the board.

If the moderators are allowed to do the sig thing, what about the vendors that are supporting the whole idea by discounting items.....????

Any Scoobynet plus card members can have a signature. Its just that at the moment the moderators are the only members. Wait a few days.

Actually we have to assume Scobynet uses page hits for selling advertsing - if it used object hits, we'd be positively encouraging the muppets to abuse it...

My point was that if the moderators are being thank (and no reason why they shouldn't be ....) surely something could be done for the vendors as well, for instances having PLUS Vendor rather than PLUS Member....

Just a thought

Mr Evo'

No you'll be able to change it to what you like(within reason), or get rid of it.

What about the thing on the left? Will you be able to get rid of that?

Might be interested in being a plus member, but I'd rather register another username than have that 'medallion man' logo under my name

OK... everyone calm down!!

The sig is going to go.. It is clear it's going to really irritate enough people to warrant the decision.

We will change to an avatar and the small plus member logo... possibly have the graphical text, but smaller, and keep it all in the left hand column.

Thanks for all the feedback, I've listened and it will be actioned.

When you sign up for ScoobyNetPlus, you get the option to assign your membership to your scoobynet profile. If you don't want to you don't have to.

Thanks again, please bare with me today, and possibly tomorrow until it can be removed.

All the best

Simon

Perhaps all the moderators secretly want £300 zx's and capri's (still an upgrade from a scooby)

All of 'em. Help yourself.

I'll be deleting 'em in a couple of days, though. After all, these bandwidth costs can get out of hand.

guys... the bandwidth was the second reason I gave to why I would be grateful if you didn't post up the letters.

I want to point out the irony of a thread with complaints about how cluttered and difficult to read the signatures make the site look, with a decision that they would be removed followed by "corners" and the use of the graphics I had asked everyone not to abuse.

I deleted the post, not Neil.

regards

Simon

What, the MicroGramma D Bold Extended font, the copyright for which is owned by the Nebiolo font foundry of Turin?

PS: I did the 'corner' thing before the decision to remove the signatures
