Badgerbell - didn't go with PIAA bulbs but nipped down to Halfords to pick up their equivalents. Halfords bulb code is 492 and they cost the grand sum of £4.99ea!! They're also 130w (rather than 120w PIAA) and work very nicely!

Well it started chuffing out smoke upon startup the other day. only had it back like 4 weeks maybe 5. Was loosing boost and just wasn't right. Then i noticed it was kinda wobbly while idling & above to about 2000 rpm.
A few days later the dreaded noise was back. Like a loud tapping noise, quite a harsh sound. Rang them and said about the car and that i would bring it in today. I left *Subaru Main Dealer* tonight with no car....again! They suspect sticking valves this time but what i hope is that the bottom end which is completely new wont be affected by all this trouble. I just paid like £130 for oil less than 3 weeks ago for the gearbox and engine. Needless to say im very miffed about the whole thing and they make you feel as its your fault that the engine has done what it has. I am slowly loosing my patience with *Subaru Main Dealer* and am considering ringing Subaru directly to resolve the way in which i am spoken too.
I was asked "what have you been doing". To which i replied, "uhm driving it". i mean the bloody cheek of them. Felt my face go red as i was embarresed he would actually think that i was out to kill my car!! I was like sitting there feeling like i had done something wrong when all i did was everything they told me to...take it easy for 1k, come in and have both oils changed which i did and then this happens again....looks to me as they made a cockup and im kinda getting the blame or made to feel that way anyay.
Im hardly going to go out and purposely wreck a new engine not that i could if i wanted too. I get a courtesy car on Thursday with a bit of luck. This time its different, i'm really gonna go nuts if they try fobbing me off with stuff. I'll just ring Subaru and complain.
Anywayz there ya go, another story!

Yeah i'm gutted too m8, the thing thats killing me is the wait to find what actual problem is. I think it was there before and they missed it and are now tring to say it was my fault. they haven't said that it is but im being made to feel that way.
They can take a run and jump if they think i'm paying anything towards this bloody engine out again job cause to be honest it's taking the pish to be happening again so soon.
I might even request Subaru go down there and inspect the engine 100% with every washer and bolt inspected too just to make sure that everyones doing thier job right and that the car has what it needs this time round!

drumster, yes i have, so far theres only 25 in the list, look above and see how many are on the list: just dont quite add up!!!!
i have noticed quite a few RB5 owners on Scoobynet that havent even posted a reply in this forum, i have been sifting thro scoobynet trying to find other owners, just by their usernames. not sure how many others havent come to this forum yet.
also, if u r one of the guys selling ur RB5, be sure to let them no about this site and my site so we can keep track on the car
Gav: I hope u r giving them some real pressure over your car, dont feel that its your fault as its not. i as i told u the other day just stand firm and dont take any of their ball$h1te.
good move on getting suabru involved, every1's quality slips now & then and needs a kick up the a$$ to get things back to acceptable again, like i said, get them involved and u no u will be treated well.
i've had 2 requests so far on the fog light covers, no1 else interested then? £10

Anyone here thought of going to the NBO-Northern Big One??
I'm gonna go up as i think 200+ scoobs in one place will seem pretty mad. What i am dissapointed in though is the lack of input from all the other RB5 owners that haven't already posted in this thread and registered on RB5 286's site!

Mark any chance of a list of names of those who HAVE registered??
I tried the link again also and it says error not found this might be the reason for lack of people registering??

LOL Mark
I wont sell the RB5 as its pointless me doing so at the moment. Might buy myself another runabout to keep miles and condition of the car better.
Now then now then, this NBO meet is there anyway we can make our convoy stick together so we get in there as a bulk. No point in having them scattered about the place really when it can be arranged to meet up before and enter convoy stylee Some pics before we enter the site will be a good idea too.
Mark can you e-mail me asap have some ideas for you to try out!
I'll also sort you out with the Web Authoring software.
The Club will hopefully kick of before the April meeting and will be going nice and steady by the time of the NBO. We need cards, window stickers made (plastic??) and possibly a welcome pack to be sorted out for the Club so any help with this would be good guys!
I know Mark is keen to sort out the stickers, thats if im right Mark?
I still need a sketch or trace (white outline type of thing not much detail needed. Front 45 degree angle check my pics i posted recently for something to work off. In jpg format) of an Impreza Pref an RB5 (WRSport with addons) to use as an outline with the flash site.
I want to use this as the basis of the navigation as well as a nice Navigation bar at the top or bottom. I can sort the flash site out no probs and a friend is willing to help when i get stuck lol.
Pictures of the interior with WRSport clocks, WRSport logo, prodrive logo will be good to have and to include on the site too. Any ideas on the flash intro to the site?? We should also include Richard Burns in there somewhere as the cars inspired by him anyway lol
Does someone have his e-mail addy so i can ask him to make a comment on the car??
Thats it for now folks, take care now bubai then

Just seen that I'm listed as owning 175 when infact I own 075 (not sure how that came about - not very good with numbers ) also my car (075) was registered in April not August. Off to your web site now to put the story straight.
Well I would except I can't get on to your web site - host not found??

Right....
I bought my RB5 before I even knew what an Impreza was, and yes I bought it because it was a differn't colour and had 17"'s on it. The other cars were standard and the cost of putting the wheels on was the extra I paid on the car. I love the car !!
As for Negative comments..... you said yourself you had 0 replies from 60 E-mail's . It sounds like I was the only one willing to speak up. I've been an active member of the community in scotland with Karting and general pub nights. I've had a go at setting up meets in scotland and had a great time. I will still be a part of the scene despite my NEGATIVE ATTITUDE
I didn't want to cause offence and I'm sorry if I did.
Craig.
