Oh and BTW there is a load that you can do to stop this sort of behaviour if you have the will to.
Please tell me more!

This worked for us,here goes.......
The young drivers with the modded novas, saxos, pugs ect are simply younger versions of ourselves.I had problems with them wizzing up and down a "footpath" behind my house, handbraking ect,or they used it to test thier sterio setups to see whos was the loudest, usually after midnight.

Now how to stop them? letters to the council,to put up a gate at the end of the footpath was one neighbours effort, still waiting seven months on.Another effort was a bloke with his dog trying the heavy approach fekin big dog too,he make the mistake of including in his rants that"he lived over there pointing" and cant even hear his TV sometimes, big mistake,he had the screen smashed on his Focus twice.

So what to do?

My first instinct was to try the heavy approach with a few of the lads, but I didnt, instead I drove round with a couple of the scoob lads and be-friended them. They were made up to see us,asking the usual questions, how fast, how much ect.I even took what seemed to be the ringleader out for a spin. After chatting rubbish for 3/4 of an hour(black windows, sub woofers, bonnet scoops, flamer kits, kill switches.....where abouts are you from )We left.

With the info we recieved,we found the addresses of 3 out of the 6 or so cars that usually turned up,those 3 never turned up again, well not in those cars anyway,as for the rest,it took about two weeks for the the meetings to fizzel out through lack of members.

I was once told by an old and wise trainer "to totally destroy your enemy, you must first become his best friend" he was right again.

Later Yoza

P.S Harry let me know when you want us to come and make friends with your little problems........

Saxo Boy...

Never get driven by anyone else now following 'bad central reservation crossing accident' heading up to Aviemore, when as a passenger (aged 23) I could see everything happening and the driver's slothlike reactions weren't up to it.

Not saying I'm a better driver than the next guy but just don't like doing the passenger thing....

It's all about trust really. Last night I was a passenger with a mate as we burled down to the pub in a 1.1 saxo with rich-tea biscuits for wheels. It was raining and we were taking corners, etc a little too fast but after a few minutes I reminded myself that I know the guy driving has good driving skills, is alert and is in control. I was just apprhensive because I wasn't in control, as soon as I accepted that he was in control and knew what he was doing I felt better. Had it been someone I didn't know I'd still be panicing.

the saxo you were talking about could be flaming/popping for several reasons. Firstly as someone pointed out earlier if while running you flick the ignition off and on pumping the gas while its off for the split second you get a loud gunfire type bang, this is alot more impressive on a turbo car but is fully doable on NA also. Thats one of the RS ****ter tricks from round my way lol

Also i believe now you can buy flamer kits for non turbo cars, i havent looked into it but i was informed that they inject some sort of gas (butane or some ****) for the spark plug to ignite because they cant get the flames from their fuel. Im afraid i dont know much more about it appart from they do exist so NA cars can flame 2

Personally i think its all a bit tacky and seeing every ford rs turbo ever has one fitted now it kind of lost its appeal. Flaming exhausts used to be impressive when it was the sheer power of the car that caused it not some spark plug stuck up the exhaust pipe.
