To resume :

For post 98 cars : directly plugged on the ODB-II connector
For pre 98 cars : directly plugged on the yellow connector

That's right ?

All right !

What the limits between a pre-98 model and a post-98 one ?

The ODB-II connector ?
Mine has this connector but not the K-line (just TX and RX)

Simon,

Thanks for the Torque controller - I'll give you a bell soon about installation etc!

Now I understand what the little black box you were clutching today was - looks the business - kind of like the hand commander for a Power FC but with more information

Cheers

Ian, All connections are made via the diagnostic port under the steering column, just plug in and it works no power etc.. to connect.

Question

How large is the plug?

I have DeltaDash from EcuTek, and their plug rubs my knee when I'm using the clutch...

(LHD car if that makes any difference...)

And will it be possible to have DeltaDash and S.E.C.S. plugged in at the same time?

A serial port on the S.E.C.S. would be an excellent idea, then I could just plug the laptop with DeltaDash into the S.E.C.S.

Our connector is shorter than the EcuTek item, on our cars we have had not experienced the problem Torstein mentions.

Torstein it is very easy to unclip the cars diagnostic port so that connection can be made behind the console.

Talking

would be very interested in this for a MY 99 with the pod.
Sounds like it would be easily removeable, is that the case?
cos mine still has some warranty left and i don't want the slimy buggers to get out of any of it!

Danny Boy.

Second what Simon says about the connector, having driven with one in the car, you'd never know it was there, and a peice of p*ss to fit and un-fit.

Hi!

Thanks for the info regarding the connector. This thing sounds like an aboslute must-have

A question regarding the software:
Will it be possible to upgrade the software somehow?
