Wow!! you're a bit up tight about a 10 year old"rusting little **** box"
How would you make it's life a misery???
ps The holy grale has style,
you and your car do not.

I'm not one for changing my opinion, I still do respect the gral, but, I was driving down the road last night, and there so happened to be an L plate gral in front of me. I looked at it with admiration,it's paint work, it's bodywork, it's posture, it's character. It's owner obviously had it fastidiously maintained.
Having followed this thread for the past couple of days, will I or won't I, was at the front of my mind. Knowing that this chap may have a respectable character of his own, and not like some of the users in the evoforum, the thought of farting all over him was still so appealing. But I am not on a race track, I thought, so what can I do.
I know, I can tell everyone on scoobynet that one of his brake lights were out, and that I spent the next half hour clearing my throwt, and wipping the tears from my eyes.

its not that i'm uptight about a ten year old car, it was no doubt good in its day. what i was angry at, at the time, was the way people on the intergrale bbs were actually glad to see a P1 written off, clamouring for pics etc.
like a lot of people on this bbs, i have an admiration for all performance cars, old and new.i know full well what an intergrale is, my girlfriend had one trying to leave her for dust on a country road once, and it failed miserably
to be honest, the intergrale looks like a macho golf, but each to their own.
as for me? i dont own a scooby at the moment, but i use this bbs because in general ive found people here to be intelligent and genuinely enthusiastic about ALL performance cars, and i doubt anyone here would clamour for pics if you wrecked your intergrale.
lets face it, your car is old, your bbs crap, and some of the comments nauseating.
if you dont like scoobys or jap cars, why bother posting here?

Hiya Pacenote,
ta for the reply but if there are more Intergrale's in the country now than there were 10 years ago, why do i not see any when i use to see quite a few??
ok it may be a weekend car but they are "fragile" in comparison to todays cars, they need alot of money thrown at them to keep them "on the road" as to say it is ashame as they were a great car in there day, along with cars like the lotus cortina etc, but there are better "jap crap" cars out there which are more reliable, drivable and livable with and to think that some people think the impreza is an easy car to drive its more than a handful when pushed, alot of people can tell you that, and as for some remarks in other posts about the understeer... its true, they do but that is easily sorted, i find that changing the tyre pressures help but a car that in standard form is very good and after a little tweaking with the help of Prodrive and their excellent Performance pack it becomes a great car
The Intergrale is a fantastic car but i wouldnt buy one, i cant justify throwing money down the drain sorry

To be honest, yes if nobody was hurt I think it's quite funny to see that some IT office boy with his new toy has ended up smashing up his "scooby".
ScoobyDoobyDoo where are you?
eat my dust

Just discovered this thread as I unlike some I have a busy and full life
Laff I nearly shat I am only replying in an attempt to make the big 100 replies
DAZW you are about as funny as piles and twice as smelly
The rest of you grow up and appreciate that your cars are good at what they do. Just remember that none of them has ever been anygood on tarmac so there's little point in meeting on the track . In fact Gervais' Elise would probably show most of you his exhaust pipes on track if he had the time between perms and blowdries.
Cheers

This argument is bollox. Why bother comparing them. The Subaru realistically should be better, It's had 10yrs more development FFS. The fact there isn't much in it, is more a testament to the Integrale's ability than anything else.
Yes I own an Integrale evo1, and it does cost a lot to run, as I am sure all performance cars do. But if thats what I choose to spend my money on thats up to me, and not anyone else.
I have been in several Impreza's including a WRX and a P1. Yes they're fast and handle well but I wanted a grale, which in my opinion is a classic, the Impreza probably wont be. I have also been in an evo6 round CC and that was better than the Impreza, without question.
I would be up for a joint trackday. Sounds like fun.
